my wife will either love the conquest or shoot everyone of you if you bring it to my house.

that is one of the cars i have always wanted to own. if it ends up in my garage i will either decide i really don't like them, and mark it off my list, or it won't leave for YEARS (hench you guys getting shot). my vote is absolutely for the conquest.

    Will do ...

Remember, BS rules still apply with donated cars. Also ... it's a DSM ... =(

I'm calling the gentleman that owns it tomorrow. He said he would donate it to the cause and that is an amazingly cool thing! He just wants to be part of the fun. I have absolutely no problem with that. He also says that he can find any and all parts we would need to get it right for next to nothing. Whole motors go for 2 or 3 hundred bucks from what he has told me. Stay tuned and we shall see.

Matt, please keep looking into what your father might have. That Mazda still sounds like a great car considering the price and work that has been done to it.

the 626 would have more straight line speed if it's a 6. I think most of them were autos though. What about an old Subbie? Can't you get old Impreza's for nothing?

I heard today that the Mazda is very likely a manual. Might be a 626 and not a Protege though. My brother is supposed to send photos.

I'd assume if you're doing it that way, to just get rid of the rear glass entirely, it would be much safer, and allow a nice down draft to help keep the interior cooler. AND you could easily duct from the roof through an open window.

There's also a lot of potential to put something odd in the back. Hell, you could put a bbq pit in the back and feed people in the paddock before and after the event.

Yeah ... run the bars through the rear glass. Replace glass with plexi (lexan is beyond the budget ... or would that be considered safety?).

Hi, my names Michael. I have nothing good to say about anything. The cage is simple enough to put in there.
