"Bwah-ha-ha... Dr Evil, it's 2009, that kind of money doesn't even exist. You might as well ask for a Kajillion Bazillion dollars".

I'm in for driving if you need me. Are you planning for the 24-hour at Nelson Ledges?

This is what I did with my NASA-SE crew and it was the best time. Depending on the venue, it's worth kicking in the $75 entry fee to be "crew" (all access) as opposed to a spectator which is $30 and does not have pit access (depends on venue).

Yall check and see, and pardon me if you've already covered this, but I believe the pit crew who are your refuelers will need fire suits and full face helmets, the works. I remember this because a couple of us got kicked out of pit lane when refuelign was going on for not wearing fire suits - and our refuelers ended up being our drivers - because they had fire suits! The whole thing is so fun and cheeky, but I found them to be pretty tight on safety stuff.

We're too up in the air right now for me to make any travel plans, but if there's any way I can be there, I am gonna tag along too.

One mo thang - MATCHING T-SHIRTS.

    Amen.

Awesome! I hope we can get some feedback on the MX-6 we were talking about a bit ago asap. It seems to be the best bet at this point in time, but I haven't stopped looking. If anyone knows where there might be a car that would fit the bill please spill the beans. We need to egt this here thing in gear!

Thanks Darryl. I'm sure there will be some things that need sorted that our out of our skill set or tools available.

I'm sure Wizzer Motorsports can help with any fab work that goes beyond the duct tape and bailing wire. We have a couple of mills, lathe, shear, break, surface grinder, upright band saw bigger than a mini etc... We might even help out with graphics.

Not really sure how to take that at this point. Do you want to drive or do you want to help? Help is always needed and much appreciated, driving falls into those categories as well, it just requires the addition of money, lol.

I really need to contact everyone that said at the beginning of this that they were in on the driving side of this here thing. I know we have several folks that have offered time and effort, but did not want to drive and it's my thought that if you are driving the costs are on you and we should bend over backwards and byt the folks that aren't driving but helping out several beverages of their choice and other stuff.

So, if you happen to be keeping up with this thread and you are in for driving and sharing the expense of putting the car together, please let me know. If I don't hear from the folks that were interested in here over the next two days, I'll track you down!

Peter, if car number one ends up full with the folks that chimed in at the start of this, there me be a car number two we can talk about. I'll keep you posted sir. Thanks for the interest!

On a lighter note. I got my Helmet today! It weighs negative 5.5 ounces! Happy Happy Joy Joy

If you're still looking for another driver/money-donor, please think about including me!!!!!!!

I have money, enthusiasm, time, and questionable driving skill.

I hope not, its tight enough as it is. Full 24 hour race length makes me hope they open it up for this one.

The question is, will they use the whole track for the LeMons? They certainly don't at CMP. I'll bet they'll be turning right, instead of left, at Oak Tree corner.

I saw a volvo wagon for sale in the classifieds for 350 OBO, needs an alternator. Tons of parts cars, tons of resources, bullet proof motor, and depending on the trans, bulletproofness as well. Hopefully it has an M47 or an AW71 depending on the manual/auto. Both are awesome boxes that withstand a heavy thrashing.
