I just got my National competition lic. back this week ( have been off running round track). I just purchased a BMW and would like to attend the PDX just to run the car
a little and didn't know if I would have everything in order before the event. But I
got my Lic./ membership and everything yesterday. Is it possible for me to still come
and participate.? I would be willing to help out on saturday and just run the car on

Ugh Hmm .. I place this bet with you Andrew Tow -- I'll bet that which ever one of us is slower at the end of the day Saturday, that person will have to wear (on Sunday) the blue racing suit that belonged to Alan Branch last year to breakfast at the hotel, to the drivers meeting AND while wearing the suit - walk up to two total strangers and ask them if they would like an autograph.

It's never too late to sign up, well technically if there are cars on course you probably missed the entry period but anyway, go to the first post on this thread and get the entry form. Fill it out and bring it all to the track on Friday evening. We'll be there from 5:00pm on.

Guys , A new and sad development has surfaced. John W. recieved word today that his nephew had been killed in a car crash in Illinois. He will not be able to attend the event . He is probably on his way as we speak to Illinois to be with his family in this difficult time . My prayers and thoughts are with you John.

I will see you guys at the track. Lets make John proud and finish the event he has worked so hard on .

This underscores why it is imperative to have as many volunteers as possible at one of these events. We don't want to be in a situation where the absence of one makes the event fail.

I stopped at the track, this evening, and there are some cars I've never seen before, as well as some old friends. I'm going to have a blast, the next two days. How about you?
