Thanks for the input. It is a fully gutted shell of a miata! The only residual interior is the dash and console. I've been planning on adding a battery cut-off switch and nets... guess I've got a good reason to now! I've got the Ge-Force high density padding. My harnesses are good til Nov this year. I've got a 2 peice nomex suit (Ge-Force) with gloves and shoes. Need some undergarments and balaclava. So I HAVE to have a supression system over just an extinguisher? All my pics can be viewed here, not to hijack this thread LINK . Thanks for the help!

The 1st pic sure is! Who took that pic? Must have been with Audi club as I'm solo there with my newer rims (edit to add, maybe I should've just read the title!). Nice find, thanks for sharing! The only time I've run w/out the top was at Talledega during the Z Nationals last fall, and that was short lived due to a cracked radiator.
Edit to add - Now I'm feeling really dumb Chuck... you take great photos! How much you gonna charge for a high res copy?

I do have some brackets left for the Transponders. Costs did go up the last time I had to buy them though. - $10.Originally posted by GeneSplicer View PostThanks for the input. Cannot see your pics from my office so cannot comment completely on the car itself. But it seems to be inbetween classes. SM (like Andy's car) is more of a Street Prepared class. If you have a full cage, we can probably find a class for you to run in. Go ahead and add the cut off switch.
Harnesses are good for 5 years in TT whether they are SFI or FIA. And they run thru the calndar year.
If your GForce suit is a 2 layer SFI-5 (the 545?), then you do not need the nomex undies. Only need a balaclava to cover facial hair or hair that splays out under a helmet. You can run with arm restraints instead of a window net. A bolt-in fire extinguisher bottle meets the requirements. Your helmet will have to be SA2000 rated or later.Craig Farr

Does your Miata sound like it fits in this Class?
Street Unlimited (SU):
NOTE: This class was formerly called Street Modified in SEDIV TT. To avoid confusion with the Solo class of the same name, the class name is changing to Street Unlimited.
Vehicles in this class should be titled and registered for use on public roads or have the ability to do so. It is intended as a class for street type cars whose modifications prevent them from finding a place in one of the historically available street type classes. Vehicles with an existing SEDIV SM Solo1/TT level 3 or 4 logbook are grandfathered into SU per the owner’s decision to change to this class and an inspection to a licensed Time Trial inspector.
Vehicles in this class must have working brake lights and windshield wipers. With the exception of kit cars entering the class prior to 1/1/1999, a safety glass windshield is required. All lights required for street registration must be present and functional.
Safety equipment should match performance potential. At a minimum, safety equipment must meet the requirements in the current SCCA Time Trial Rules for solo Street Modified cars.
Tires – Vehicles in this class must use a DOT rated tire.
Interior – Dashboard must remain intact. Kit type cars must have a dashboard. Carpet, insulation, passenger seating, etc. may be removed. No sharp edges should remain within driver's reach. Doors may be gutted only if cage is installed and side bars protrude into this area. Additional bulkheads or modifications to bulkheads to seal passenger compartment are allowed. Unsealed holes in the floorboard or firewall are not allowed.
Mufflers – Mufflers may be modified, substituted or removed for events. This does not supersede event noise requirements.Craig Farr

That very much sounds like my class. I might have problems with ""All lights required for street registration must be present and functional""... my front headlamps been gutted out. Only my rear brake lights and wipers work. I'm sure I can add some Hella LEDs up front, but it won't be stock. My miata is a track toy only, not registered... factory windshield is saftey glass is it not? I'm really hoping I can attend but something has come up to where I might not be able to run with you guys this weekend. I've been wanting to do some solo events to, so if I don't make it here, then you'll see me at the racetrack... if that's where y'all still run.

I am sure that we can overlook the headlight thing for TT since the lack of them does not provide a performance enhancement. If anyone raises a stink, you can always waive points.Originally posted by GeneSplicer View PostThat very much sounds like my class. Yes there are. Get your entry in before April 1st to avoid the late penalty. There is a bit of time left before the event but the registration late fees kick in on April 1st. Don't delay!Originally posted by ZX3Focus View PostAre there still PDX spots open?
Also on the subject of Time Trials, we still need workers to help out the event. Contact me here or in the workers thread about helping out. We'll feed you and train you and get you started on supporting your local SCCA club. We could use the help.
Thanks!John W8
