      If it is close then a solid bench and something like sandbags should be sufficient. Since pellets are very susceptible to wind drift I recommend siting it in indoors if possible, otherwise it is extremely frustrating. Just use some scrap wood for a backstop. The tempered side of a piece of MDF (or two just to be sure) in the back of a cardboard box (to control ricochets) works great. I've done this several times in my basement.

        What's the ideal range to sight one in? I don't really have the distance in the basement to fire more than 10-12 yards.
