Single or Dual factory oil coolers in an FC + high engine rpm's=blown motor no matter how well you duct them...hence my ISC Oil cooler.

Drive faster...I like that idea, ha ha!!!

I've tried the shifting earlier and everything I could think of and it really didn't make much of a difference. The only thing I can think to completely fix it is either put a bumper with larger opening in it, and/or but larger coolers. Although with the last engine lasting so long it really didn't seem to hurt it much, but I haven't pulled it apart yet to look at the bearings.

Time to get this thread back on topic and rolling again. Our PDX/HPDE is at TGPR May 9th and it's rolling up pretty quickly.Registration is open and all of the event specifics such as entry cost ,schedule, regulations ETC. are at www.dlbracing.com under Alabama Region SCCA .

If you have never registered through DLB before you will have to create an account which is free and fairly quick .SO lets get ready to go to the track and have a fun day .If you have never been to TGPR or any track for that matter ....no worries, its a fun track with lots of runoof room and the event will be staffed with instructors to get you up to speed .

        cya at the track,

We have plenty of open spots. It's all ready to go, we just need you.

Instructors! I am in bad need of instructors. I'm sure there are a few of you that are planning on instructing and haven't spoken up. Please do. Instructors will be $20 cash at the event and I would like to keep it to one student per instructor, but to do that I have to have instructors.

Do you have any pic on how the arm restraint install. Does this effect movement related to shifting?

No, I don't, and Ricky has mine. When set up properly it should not interfere with the operation of the vehicle.

It takes a little trial and error to get it just like you want it .I had never used them untill this past weekend and on the first couple sessions ...I wasnt really comfortable with them but after that I got used to them being there and didnt even notice them anymore.

I can think of a few, 5-6, instructors that haven't signed up that need to.

I signed up to drive. I need some seat time in the racecar before competing in Nashville.
That's one thing that sucks about buying a racecar, you also need a racetrack.

I agree I want to get our DSR on the track before I do an actual event but it being what it is, is going to be difficult to do. It might get some AutoX runs.

The supps mention a list of permissable vehicles. I notice that purpose built race cars are not listed, i.e formula and sports racer cars. I'm finishing up a new F1000 car to race in FB, and I need a little bit of shakedown time before I tow a long way to a race. Would there be a possiblity of getting a bit of time at this event?

In all PDX's we've done in the past Wings and Things have been excluded due to SCCA not allowing them to run with fendered cars. Evan will respond with the official word.
