Not really sure how to take that at this point. Do you want to drive or do you want to help? Help is always needed and much appreciated, driving falls into those categories as well, it just requires the addition of money, lol.
I'm sure Wizzer Motorsports can help with any fab work that goes beyond the duct tape and bailing wire. We have a couple of mills, lathe, shear, break, surface grinder, upright band saw bigger than a mini etc... We might even help out with graphics.
Awesome! I hope we can get some feedback on the MX-6 we were talking about a bit ago asap. It seems to be the best bet at this point in time, but I haven't stopped looking. If anyone knows where there might be a car that would fit the bill please spill the beans. We need to egt this here thing in gear!
Thanks Darryl. I'm sure there will be some things that need sorted that our out of our skill set or tools available.
I think, if this is going to be a recurring thing, I'd like to help as much as possible without being a driver. I've got pretty good mechanic skills and could help build/repair the car. Pit assister, grill master, etc. I could possibly throw in some money even though I wouldn't be driving, just to help out.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

This is what I did with my NASA-SE crew and it was the best time. Depending on the venue, it's worth kicking in the $75 entry fee to be "crew" (all access) as opposed to a spectator which is $30 and does not have pit access (depends on venue).
Yall check and see, and pardon me if you've already covered this, but I believe the pit crew who are your refuelers will need fire suits and full face helmets, the works. I remember this because a couple of us got kicked out of pit lane when refuelign was going on for not wearing fire suits - and our refuelers ended up being our drivers - because they had fire suits! The whole thing is so fun and cheeky, but I found them to be pretty tight on safety stuff.
We're too up in the air right now for me to make any travel plans, but if there's any way I can be there, I am gonna tag along too.
Ohio is an all out 24 hour race. It's the only true 24 hour race on the schedule and we are stupid enough to want this to be our first shot at LeMons. That's why we drive to Ohio! This is our goal. Ultimate stupidity in the name of a really good time!
My brother went to try to start it and found some issues. Battery was obviously dead. It looked like a rodent had possibly take up home in the engine bay and at least one plug wire was damaged. He said he could look it over and try diagnosis Saturday ... maybe earlier. He's going to verify fuel and spark and hopefully get it to run.
The car was repaired in October, and likely parked at my parent's place in Nov or Dec. It was driven there and my brother remembers it driving well, but can't be certain.
Sean, I tossed around the idea of going down Saturday to help him and maybe pick up the car. I've requested the title information so we can go ahead and start on that in the meantime.
I'd love to go with and help out on Saturday, but I have a wonderful appointment with a Safe driver course that starts at 8am. I believe I could do it the next weekend with no problem or if you have help getting there this weekend and can get it back by all means, help yourself sir. Find out what it will take buy it and if it turns out to be decent I have the money sitting right here for it.
