For being a student at this event, does your car have to meet the TT Level 3 requirements or the Level 1 PDX requirements?

Level 3 track trials requirements. 4 point Roll bar, 2.5lb Fire Bottle, Window net -OR- Arm restraints and minimum 5 point harness and personal safety equipment of a fire suit, Nomex socks, Gloves and leather or nomex shoes covering the foot up to the ankle and a SA-00 rated helmet or newer. If you have a beard or 'stache you also need to get a nomex head sock. Your car would need to be "log booked" that can be done Friday evening at the track or can be handled before the event by Rich Crowell of Tennessee Valley Region.

As for the driver, you'd need to fill out your Novice application and the Medical History portion of the Medical form and bring it to the school. The entry form will also need to be filled out and sent to Craig Farr with a check for the entry & school fee. The various forms needed can be found on our home page. http://alscca.org/

It sounds like a lot but it really isn't. All the safety gear can be purchased at Saferacer.com or Discovery Parts.com. The Rollbar can be put in at Kirk Racing in Mount Olive or VanCleef Racing in Huntsville and the rest is filling out paper work.

              C'mon out and play!

Actually Cage, you can go to any track event as a novice, it's only hill climbs that don't allow novices. We'll have a novice class at the Nashville Superspeedway event in May, do well at it and you could possibly get signed off for your license there depending on your performance.
