Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

        • If you've never been to a Time Trial or a PDX, take the time to do so, this weekend. There's a great turnout of folks from all over the Southeast Division ready to compete for bragging rights at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway http://tgprace.com/ . This track isn't fancy, but it's good enough for One Lap of America to make it a repeat stop, this year, as part of their event.

Come by and see what all the fuss is about, even if you can't or don't think you want to compete or volunteer.

            • None that could be posted. Interested in anything in particular? W8 is 2nd in ITA right now. Ricky Ragan is 2nd in SU. I believe Andy Tow and Rod Hardiman are 1st in their respective classes, ITR and BSP (but I'm not completely sure). Casey is in 1st in DSP (fending off a group of 240sx's). I can't think of any others....besides Mike Wenning who is winning the PDX of course!

Just wondering if the Blue Car still has the track record in CSP or if I need to scrape the decal off...

                  • The CSP cars that ran with me were nowhere the record, but they were all TT students and I don't know how the "regulars" ran.

I have been digging through my Trackmaster data from last fall in the Miata and just realized that basically every serious lap in the M3 this weekend was faster than my best ever in the Miata. I never would have guessed that without seeing the data. The two cars actually feel very similar on track but the BMW was ultimately 2.7 seconds faster.

Negative. The fastest CSP car was a 1:13.0 in a borrowed car with a driver who normally doesn't run CSP (very handsome as well)

Most of the CSP field as Rod said were students for the TT school.

                      • I think said car needs to make an appearance to defend it's record in updated form.

                          +1

of course, if that happens W8 will need to find another trailer to borrow

Too bad the Bimmer challenge smackdown evolved to a Barber winner-take-all. Casey & I would have a head start on the rest of the group...and I might even be in first after I protest Casey's classing

                          • Thank you to all of the workers, who stood in the rain on Sunday, and organizers. I'll think back to the fun I had during the last session for a long time. See you in October (or maybe late September, I cannot remember).

                            • I would also like to say thanks to the workers. It was good to talk to Chaisit and Heath Saturday afternoon. It was my first event but it sure seemly like it went incredibly smooth.

Especially when you DESTROYED the SU record. I was really upset that we ran into such problems getting all the parts together for our car, and ultimately not being able to run it this spring. It sure seemed that the track was very fast. A 1:05.something is an incredible time, and I hope it continues to go down. I'm glad that SU finally beat the old SM record, that was really starting to urk me.
John Kilgore...if winning was easy, losers would do it.
