Well, due to the cause being Benedryl sinus, I should be fine if I had to stand up all day. The nice thing about next year is that I should be graduated and finally free up my schedule. I am willing to do anything I can to help out at events. The only thing that would possibly affect this would be whether or not I get a career at Honda or any other place I can find with my degree. Of course this is on a weekend so it should not be an issue. Thanks for the support!

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

There will definitely be a PDX. I am planning on a more organized a useful layout for the Spring event. Want to really get the PDX program growing in the Southeast. I am currently planning on having two PDX groups like I did at the past event. This will really help me focus on teaching each group what they want/need to learn.

The limiting factor for PDX is having enough instructors. A number of TT drivers also instructed at the last event so many thanx to them.

We hope to improve the PDX program.

There's actually a good-sized pool of drivers in the area who instruct for other clubs, and some are SCCA members.

And they have been asked to instruct in the past hopefully they can be available in the future.

And if they are SCCA members, instructing for other clubs, why don't they instruct for SCCA when its needed? Where are we missing the boat on getting these people?

Free track time at Barber vs. Free track time at TGPR ?

One of my biggest peeves with SCCA is that we don't have an instructor course for people to work through and become a licensed instructor. Just because you're a road racer or time trialer that has been racing for 10+ years doesn't make you a good instructor. From talking with a few people about this, I understand there is work going on currently to make a "manual" for developing an instructor course and certification which I believe would immensely help our cause!!

On another note, Indy is at Barber April 5-7.

This is why I don't instruct. I don't feel qualified even though I've got a TT/RR license. How do I tell others what to do when I'm still learning?

Isn't Talladega Nascar in April too?

But I really don't believe that. Is there a conflict every time we have an event? If there is a conflicting event at Barber every time we have our event in the Spring and Fall, then we need to do our schedule differently.

If they'd quit buying stupid AWD turbo cars they probably could rent it for us
