I hear you, but you're completely wrong. A power point will help with the overall flow of the classroom for those of us that would like to take over this portion of the class. This is every bit as much a tool for the teachers as it is for the students.

I never suggested that this be put into use on the 1st. I do think that if we are going to do this we need to just hop in and get started. If we don't just do it, it will never get done.

I see the PPT being nothing more than a better white board. I don't see it replacing anything that the teacher does.

Won't replace anything the teacher does at all. It's just a way to facilitate the flow of the classroom. Power points really help the teacher know where they are in the lesson and go from point to point.

Glad to see you guys working on some stuff while I've been on vacation touring the countryside of Virginia, Maryland, and southern Pennsylvania.

I have always wanted to put together a PPT for the very reasons stated: reduce use of paper notes, more consistent presentation, better at getting attention (short term). I statrted on it a couple of times, but had to set it aside due to other projects.

Maybe we can get together to discuss/put something together. Wife has us planning an afternoon party this Saturday, and I can't say about Friday until I get back to work on Monday and see what's going on there.

How about we all get together after the race on the 26th and lay down some plans, delegate some work, and set up some sort of schedule for having things done. That should put most of us around each other so we can at least discuss everything and get an idea of how exactly we all want this to be handled.
