I just say the car really does not want to do both at the same time, so brake, let up and turn; then slowly add fuel to the fire.

I'll be there if Alan isn't moving their stuff that weekend.

Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection ...... again.

I will try to be there. Shouldn't have any plans for the 1st of November. It will be my first event, but I'm sure I can offer some knowledge to the kids.

I'm actually not going to be there, I'll be out of town for halloween. It is probably better that I don't show for this considering the state I will be in.

          Good luck to all.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

Anyone out there have any Power point skillz??? I'd get my guys to work on it but can't pull them off current projects. I was thinking we could take the classroom aspects of the NDCC and put them together in a power point and include cool illustratons of things like the friction circle and other elements of the course. I have a shuttle PC and a fairly nice 37 inch plasma that I'll donate to the cause as well as helping someone put this together. I need the classroom notes and soemone to help out. This could add a very nice visual to the program and help drive home alot of the concepts. I have an idea for some video showing the exercises in simulation before we get outside as well... We could do some cool things with this

I could work on a PPT ... 16x9 Sean? I could do the video as well if someone could bring a camera to the next event. Mine doesn't have a charger at the moment. Something with a firewire output would be preferred, or something that outputs MOV files.

Greg, Sean, and Matt - I think the general consensus is that we should all get together sometime before the Nov. 1 NDCCC to organize the day, figure out the PPT, etc. I've already discussed this with Matt, but I will be up in Birmingham the weekend of the next Autocross (Oct. 24-26), so I was wondering if we could get together sometime that weekend. Saturday would probably be the easier day for me, since it's somewhat uncertain what time I will get back into B'ham on Friday, but I was wondering if anytime on Saturday or sometime Friday afternoon would work for y'all?

I take back my previous statement and I will be there.

Training video sounds interesting and fun, but boring. Making educational videos is tough work to make sure they do what they need to do without putting kids to sleep. You guys have been out of school for some time but i'm sure you remember how boring video time was.
ppt on the other hand seems like a great idea but honestly it seems like too much. Even if the whiteboard approach seems cheap, it's easy and effective, and I havent really heard any complaints.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think making this program more high tech would be awesome, but for right now, if it aint broke.

Lets get together over the "off season" and work something up and try out the updated format next season. That way we have time to set up a good ppt, edit video clips, and figure out how to make everything run smoothly.
