Several times I thought some cars were getting more runs, but it was just what Eric said. There looked to be quite a few 2 driver cars and some reruns, plus the SAE cars all looked alike to me.

I know the 2nd afternoon group only ran twice (5 total for the day) 'cuz I was one. Now my poor little car was another thing entirely after Eric rode it to 2nd in the shootout. I put the poor thing in the basement yesterday and it's still asleep

All gates were regulation 15 feet wide or more. Unless you were sideways, even a camaro should fit. Its the sideways thing that will get you. And it is always fun to watch you slinging the great silver beast around by the scruff of the neck.
Yeah it prob was the heat stroke/sunburn getting to me lol i could have sworn i saw almost all the cars get 3-4 runs in the afternoon.

Thanks, but I think I need to tighten up the lasso on it

I'll try to knock it out this afternoon. I've got to make a few changes.

Just so everyone knows - I was working T&S for the 2nd Run group in the afternoon, and everyone got 5 runs. T&S had some issues, and there was a red-flag, so several re-runs were given to the cars affected by those things, but everyone only had 5 official timed runs.

Thanks for the fun event guys and gal. I had a great time on the course and enjoyed the oddly tight part at the bottom. It made me think of trying to out run some cops through a city street or something. I dunno.

              Anyway, I enjoyed the day.

That box at the bottom of the hill played hell on the FD. not only does it not have torque, it didn't have boost half the time either ... so, the choice was laglaglaglag or try to grab 1st there. Neither was a good option. The course was really fun though!

Good! Just pretend I was in the Novice Class and cut my times 10 seconds each run (I'm sure Sara and Chasit won't mind!)

I definitely enjoyed the event this year. Drew Peele co-drove my car and I must say that was interesting seeing my car being ran by someone else while I worked start. He drove the wheels off of my car and wound up with a 1:19 (1:17+1) I think.

My first three runs were DNF's at various places in the course, but I finally managed a decently quick time of a 1:21 clean. Generally on the shorter courses, I've been lucky to to be 4 seconds behind a time that a more experienced driver had set in my car. So I think I am getting better.

Sounds like the SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS was a great event. Very sorry I couldn't make it out ...

Too bad I didn't get PSP rematch --- I've gotten faster. Now unfortunately, I'll never know...

I've been keeping an eye on your times this year... very impressive! You scared Jordan out of GS into Formula cars

We missed having you at the SSSS. If you beat me last Sunday, you would have made the shootout (I was 8th PAX, but got bumped after the 1st shootout round). Your Mini would have loved the really tight sections. I hope that everything is going well in Cali.

                              Sad day

Sunday was a SAD DAY for me. It marked the first SSSS I have missed. Some of you may recall that I devised the concept of the shootout as a way to make this event special.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend. As some of you know, I lost my job in Jan. and have been looking ever since. Needless ro say, banking jobs are hard to come by these days, first because of all the mergers that have taken place, flooding the job market, and second because of the economic times causing most banks to "shrink", and cut jobs.

I was able to get a temporary job thru the end of the year at a small bank in Sylacauga. I'll be working for one of the ex-Presidents of Regions that I worked with years ago. I walked in the door and was hit with a project that has consumed every minute of my time. I'm trying to meet a deadline of tomorrow, and I'm only about 2/3 finished.

So that's where I wuz. Of course, I wish I could have been there, but a man has to work his priorities sometimes.

                              Later.....
