Im not suggesting that we make 3 runs and done "an across the board policy ".I would like to see a pax based PRO class where its 3 and done for any class competitor who wants to do it .Maybe even get a sponsor to contribute a grand or so to it so that we can award 100 bucks or so to the winner per event. The huntsville crowd did this last year and i thought it was pretty neat.

That was the basis for my comment .

Hey Jordan, have you thought about running 'street tires' for the EVO school? I believe the school is all about learning to drive smoother and better, and if you can do this with street tires it will accomplish 2 things:

      1. You'll learn more about the limits of your car with tires that provide some warning of impending loss of traction,

      2. You'll save 4 events worth of expensive r-comps.

If you learn to drive faster on street tires (proper lines, braking, and throttle modulation), it should transfer almost directly to running with r-comps.

Again, from a T&S standpoint, just let us know to DNF your runs after 3. We have no way to know otherwise. If you don't tell start to DNF you, the run will count.

Thanks Matt, we tried to come up with a better way to do it but that is pretty much it.

              Hey Peter -
I was worried about destroying my street tires, but I think I've pretty much decided to do the Evo school on my street tires (should be funny, they aren't even good street tires like I used to have... theyre cheap all-season radials...) so I can save my R-comps. I might do a few instructed runs at the school on the R-comps, to get a feel for them since I've never driven on them before... but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do the school on my streets now

                Jordan,

don't be scared to bring the R compounds to Hville. The surface is very easy on tires and very sticky. One of the instructors (Robert Carpenter) can help you with Celica, since he had whooped me many times with one in GS vs the ACR. See ya Saturday!
