If I was going BSP I'd be looking at 305's or 315's

315's will fit with some work and stay BSP legal!

I'd stick with 285s for Dixie. Any wider and your just slowing down, unless you've put on some weight over the winter.

I'm still in STU for Dixie, I can only fit 255s within the fender roll, but not pull, rules even though RWD cars are allowed up to 285s.

You'll still be fine. That was more of a general statement and not directed advice. The layout of Dixie tends to favor straight line speed and transitions over peak lateral grip. Hence 285+ are overkill unless you're over 3400lbs or trying to put down 500+hp.
