Great weather, great course, great people. Hard to ask for much else. Thanks again to Delanie for letting me spin his car (twice).

Great day yesterday. Congrats to C $ gangsta for the win in SM. By the skin of your teeth! LOL I thought the course was going to be painfully tight at first honestly, but it turned out to be faster than I thought. Good job John and Darryl. We haven't caught you guys….. yet…. and probably not for a loooong time lol.
The no spectators in the old grid area along the fence griped me a little. Not sure what the logic to that was. I had it explained to me as a hot course area, because it was between grid and start/finish with cars coming off and going onto course, but people are always walking to the bathroom through the gate where cars are coming off of a hot course and through the gate to the trailer where cars are going on course as that area is always between grid and the start/finish. If that was the rule the whole time I wouldn't have questioned the reasoning, but since it was changed to this one event even though it occurs every other event, it grinded my gears (ayo)

I'm itching for results, too. Probably checked 10 times already. I gotta know what went wrong my last run. Frustrating morning turned into a great afternoon for me. Thank you volunteers for running a great event.Erik B.
Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

Great Course
The true measure of any autocross course is the number of DNFs. Apart from the intentional DNFs, the total number of unintentional DNFs was so small as to be statistically insignificant. That said, the subjective measure of a course design in my opinion is indicated on my "fun-o-meter" or "funometer". This course broke my "funometer" so it is off the chart one of the greatest I have run on! Mega kudos to our course designer!Charlie

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

The only other possibility is to locate grid in the parking lot along with the course. That can create some serious issues and will really hamper the length and variety with courses. We are doing what we can to make it all work. But we are also at the mercy of OMA and in reality, they have been more than adequate and have actually given us a heads up or at least take into consideration our needs. But in the end, they have to look out for themselves and make money. I have no qualms with that.Mark K

Standing way back in the first parking lot isn't much incentive for spectators. Just my two cents.
Also, spectators were & are still able to drive down to the civic complex side, sit in their comfortable cars out of the sun, and watch. Given the current situation, that's the best we've got for now.Rod H

Once things get settled, over the next month, we will be able to re-assess the situation and possibly make changes. For now, safety of the cars and people, as well as the OMA facilities is top priority. If things show to be too tight to properly maneuver through the area then we will plan to not use the deck area for grid.
As Mark said, OMA is very considerate of our needs and desires and wants us to continue to come out. I am sure the situation will have an agreeable ending.John Kilgore...if winning was easy, losers would do it.
