Forum will no longer be utilized!
After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.
Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.
What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

Probably TBSP. XP is just about the crappiest pax there is. Since there's already peeps in BSP, go for TBSP or something. Idk.Originally posted by HPEVOX View Post
So which one gives me the best PAX time? My travel and Raw points won't be altered by any scoring system, so that's why I care about pax. Can't run STU unless I re-flash the ecu. could do that, but rather not. So XP, BSP or TBSP? I just want someone to tell me which is better pax times so I can help us win!!!! That's all.Nick Stone

The thing to remember with the SCCA is that it is the drivers responsibility to place himself in the correct class. If you feel that you belong in STU according to your interpretation of the rules, then place yourself in STU.Originally posted by HPEVOX View PostSo is TBSP my ticket here???? Already changed my registration once. Want to make sure this time lol.
Sure, there are people out there that are sticklers to the rules and they would
to hear that someone would knowingly place themselves in a class that they did not belong in. (not saying that is what you would do) But there are other people that believe class rules are set to be pushed to the limit of interpretation, and some people make claim that there is a "spirit" of the rule book. It all depends on which person you are.
I guarantee that I could find a random page in the SCCA rulebook and randomly place my finger on a rule, then ask Rod Hardiman, Dennis Sparks, Darryl Engle, Chuck Badder, and Matt Williams to explain that rule to me and I would get a variety of answers to what that rule is supposed to mean.John Kilgore...if winning was easy, losers would do it.

BSP pax is better then XP pax as I put the pax mulitpliers in the above post. TBSP does not have its own pax. TBSP uses the BSP pax but doesn't allow Rcomps in it. That means you would have "theoretically" a better chance of winning the class as opposed to running just BSP and being "out tire" by someone running Rcomps.Originally posted by HPEVOX View Post

The problem you get with that, is that if you run TBSP and win the class, but someone else runs BSP on Rcomps and runs a better time then you, their PAX numbers are going to better yours because the PAX is the same. We don't give points for winning a Class, so that would not matter that you are running Tire class.Last edited by kilgojr; 06-18-2012, 04:52 PM.John Kilgore...if winning was easy, losers would do it.

This is why I thought I could run STU according to the rules, since I don't have a true boost controller that directly changes the boost.
and about BSP ok didn't know they pax the same. I know some guys up there are in BSP with Rcomps, so don't want to be out tired if you will.
Checking my boost tables on the AP now to see what is altered and may run STU.Last edited by HPEVOX; 06-18-2012, 04:53 PM.Heath Patterson

Hey..wait just a dang minute. I'm not sure if I'm flattered or offended by that comment.Originally posted by kilgojr View PostI guarantee that I could find a random page in the SCCA rulebook and randomly place my finger on a rule, then ask Rod Hardiman, Dennis Sparks, Darryl Engle, Chuck Badder, and Matt Williams to explain that rule to me and I would get a variety of answers to what that rule is supposed to mean.
I have decided...I am definitely offended

Do you guys not give both Tire pax and Class pax? I know that in Dothan you get both and it really helps the people who dont have a Street tire class pax higher then just there stock or prepared class.Originally posted by kilgojr View PostBSP pax is better then XP pax as I put the pax mulitpliers in the above post. Umm....I don't see classes anywhere in the NvS points system...best to run the class with the lowest PAX that your car is legal for.
