Forum will no longer be utilized!
After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.
Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.
What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

STF has the best PAX of all the classes. You'll be fine on your shot tires
Also, remember the TVR guys have actually trained the majority of their folks to pre-register. At least half our usual crowd just shows up unannounced. Our challenge is to get that segment to travel.Rod H

Just throwing this out there, I think we should do 3 run groups with the amount of people we might get and if not my thought is the 2 groups should be split by TVR and ALSCCA and keep all of the "teams" together, working and racing. Just my 2centsCarvel Webb

PAX doesn't help if you are sliding around the whole time, our surfaces require tread blocks, which my tires are lacking in.Originally posted by rodhx View PostSTF has the best PAX of all the classes. You'll be fine on your shot tires

If you want, I could bring the SSSS trophy with me to the event on Saturday. I know it's been a few years since you've seen it. I bet you've forgotten what it looks like. I'll bring it if you want, ok?. Just let me know.Originally posted by mpcavana View PostAwww shucks, I like the SSSS and wanted to run it again this year.

Sorry Mike, but that was like a hanging curve ball, letter-high, couldn't help myself. I had to swing.
Now that I have said it, I do realize that I have probably sealed my own fate in the proposed 2013 SSSS by talking smack at all, much less with Cavanaugh. A guy who earned his PhD in Racing Psychology, is credited with introducing the whole concept of "Mind Games" and perfecting the use of "Sarcasm" as a competitive weapon to distract one's opponents to the point that their emotions take over, they lose focus, make bad decisions and, ultimately, beat themselves. At least that's what he's taught me through the years. Looking forward to another SSSS class in 2013, Dr. Cavanaugh. I just hope I make it into the shootout so we can battle it out again.
One question though, Mike. If I win the SSSS 4 times in a row, will you finally quit calling it your trophy?
Sorry. Sorry, slipped again. My bad. Man, I'm asking for it, aren't I?

I will admit to it being "OUR" trophy and you won it fairly last time. If you beat me next year then you'll have the satisfaction of waiting until I am too old to find the course but I will admit that it is "Yours". If I can remember how to find Birmingham by then...
BTW, I don't need to see it. If I did I might have a Golem moment and hit you over the head from behind and run off with it.

Take 65 north, get off on highway 36 go right, wait for it to end at the wavaho, turn left onto 231. Stay on that until you get to the Airport Road exit (there is no airport there), hang a left onto airport, and then take a right at the second light. Soccer fields should be on both sides and you'll be driving towards a big steel gate.M. Cholewa
Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.
