Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

            Flashback to 2011

Maybe this will help motivate our friends from the South!

2011 Results - North vs. South

            TAC/TVR = 712 + 1185 = 1897

            ALSCCA = 686 + 228 = 914

So here is the points scoring system:

Points are given to the top 25 drivers in Raw and Pax times.

                  1 53 points
                  2 48
                  3 45
                  4 43
                  5 41
                  6 39
                  7 37
                  8 35
                  9 33
                  10 31
                  11 29
                  12 27
                  13 25
                  14 23
                  15 21
                  16 19
                  17 17
                  18 15
                  19 13
                  20 11
                  21 9
                  22 7
                  23 5
                  24 3
                  25 1

And 2 points for each driver attending the enemy's event and 1 point for attending your own club's event.

A single driver can get multiple points for a single event.

Say a driver PAXed 3rd and had the 7th fastest time at the enemy's event:

                  3rd PAX=45 + 7th fastest time=37 + 2 points visiting=84 points total.

This system rewards fast drivers, fast cars, traveling attendance and local attendance.

Additional points are awarded to NOVICE drivers. To be eligible to participate, a novice driver must have already competed in 2012 as a novice at a ALSCCA or TVR event. R-comps are not permitted. The top 10 novice drivers will be awarded additional points as follow below:

                  Novice Results (based on Pax):

                  1 10 points
                  2 9
                  3 8
                  4 7
                  5 6
                  6 5
                  7 4
                  8 3
                  9 2
                  10 1
                  Mark K
                  1989 BMW 325i
                  1990 BMW 325i

Thanks for that, Mark. I was curious as to how the scoring system works.

I could have sworn that at one time there were bonus points for class winners. Maybe that was one of the other events I've been to. There's been so many I get confused by all the different new ways to do autocross and keep track of points.

Just point me to the starting area and tell me when to go, we'll figure out points later.

So what,.. 5 people from ALSCCA signed up to travel to Hville?

Didn't the South have enough 120+ second runs at last years N vs. S competition!

Now that's funny right there...I don't care who you are!!
