Hence the reason we have a Chairperson and a Safety Steward. My position is to make it happen and bring in as many people as we can. The SS is there to make sure that all the people I bring in don't make us lose our Insurance so we can't do this anymore. I leave all the "bad guy" stuff up to you Safety Stewards.

I am not sure our safety stewards are familiar with ineligible vehicles due to rollover risk. For example, how many of you know the Fiat 500 is ineligible?

oh oh oh, I did. Hold on wait. Is this a trick question to see how many people have looked at the Fiat 500.

John, you may want to take another look at the second rollover criteria you mention in you post above. It may not be anything other than a draft at this point.

Here's a quote from another forum that sums this issue up pretty well:

"To sum up the Fiat 500, Chevy Sonic, etc. situations, until we can get published CG or SSF numbers we have to go by the chart. These cars may be eligible for classing at a future date. The reality is that if you allow these or other tippy cars to compete at your events the club can pull your event sanctions. It's just not worth it."

STF & STR are the listed closed examples. NOCs are found in STC and others.

Assuming it can pass rollover regulations.
I did read the post and I was on the verge of deleting my response but I chose to take the abuse.

Why would someone want to autocross a Fiat500, a girlier car than a Miata?

I just pulled it off the 2012 regulations when I was discussing this with Paul, or Peter, Musclewrench, and so I assumed it was good to go. We can always have him measure the actual vehicle in question. I am sure he would like to know for sure before the next event, and before he goes throwing money at something that can not compete in our events due to Insurance regulations.

                  measurements

                  Hey guys,

If you tell me the points to measure, I'll be happy to take the measurements with pics.

The measurements are to be taken from the ground to the tallest point of the vehicle for the Overall Vehicle Height and the normal track measurement as stated in the GCR for the Average Track Width.

                    from the GCR

                    4. MEASURING TRACK
Track is the distance between the centerlines of the wheels as raced,
without driver, measured at a horizontal plane through the wheel hub
centerline. Alternatively, it may be measured from the inside of one
wheel at the hub centerline height to the outside of the other wheel, then
conversely from the outside of the first wheel at hub centerline to the
inside of the second wheel. The 2 dimensions obtained are to be added
together and divided by 2 to obtain the average. Measurements are to
be taken at both front and rear of the wheels and averaged to compensate
for toe-in/out. Under certain circumstances it may be preferable to
measure from the outside of one wheel to the outside of another and
from this dimension deduct the thickness of one wheel. This should be
repeated 180° opposite to the first measurement and the two dimensions
                    averaged.

I know this is a pain but we want you to be protected as much as the club. We want you to come out and have fun but we want to do that is as safe a way as possible. Your car handles very flat, there wasn't alot of body roll on the car but my concern is going to grippier tires. That addition might offer just the right thing to put a toaster on it's side.

Who would have thought this possible? There also a video of a BMW down in New Orlean rolling up on 2 wheels through slalom

You can bump at each event (if you choose) but I don't think you can eliminate a national class. If you combine two you are eliminating one.

/I thought the ST reorg was supposed to make it simpler this season.
