Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

      OMG, don't shoot me

Ok, so this weekend was awesome. But, I can't seem to keep from messing around with my car. I found this light crankshaft pulley.

      http://www.nonstoptuning.com/NSTPULL...itNisCube.html

14.10H on pg. 89 reads like it may be legal.

      H. Any accessory pulleys and belts of the same type (e.g., V-belt, ser- pentine) as standard may be used. This allowance applies to ac- cessory pulleys only (e.g., alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and crankshaft drive pulleys). It does not allow replacement, modification, or substitution of pulleys, cogs, gears, or belts which are part of cam, layshaft, or ignition drive or timing systems, etc. Any crankshaft damper or pulley may be used. SFI-rated dampers are recommended. Supercharged cars may not change the effective diameter of any pulley which drives the supercharger.

What's the verdict? I promise this is the last question... for now

Basically, spray paint black, slather on some grease, and call it a day.

And no need to spray paint it black. I think that piece looks hawt. I can't believe how many aftermarket parts their are for a Cube. CRAZY

According to him, they are mostly for the Versa, not the Cube. I love it when manufacturers share chassis and engines between models without weird changes to mess us tuners up.

Okay, here is the word on the SSF from Brian Harmer at National

"Every single car that competes in Solo must meet the SSF. Obviously a Formula Ford or a fully built EM car will meet it. When a car is modified it is hard to find out it’s true SSF. That is why there is a chart in the rulebook (page 35) that is for use in the field if there is question about the cars allowance or not. Basically though chart for in the field is an overall height and average track width correlation. If the height is more than the average track it isn’t allowed."

So we need to know the average track width with the wheels and tires you will be running vs the height of the car as it sits now (not the OEM dimensions).

He means measure between the center of the front tires, the center of the rear tires, add together and divide by two.

Example: Front track is 1.643 meters, rear track is 1.636 meters.

                        1.643 + 1.636 / 2 = 1.6395

                          I'm out

                          Hey everyone,

Thank you for the input on determining the SSF. Looks like all that ubiquitous headroom comes at a cost. By my measurements, the track is ~58.5" and the height is 62". I had a blast at the Test n' Tune and will probably come out on some Saturdays to see you guys eat cones!

that really sucks. It was a blast to see your toaster running through the cones.
