Can you define "Sunday's event will be a limited invitation event." a little more fully please? I'd like to attend that day, but am unsure how to make that happen, or if it is even possible. Thanks.

Yes John "jumping the gun because I can't" Waight, tech Inspection will include the 2012 Annual Inspection for Solo vehicles whose driver has participated in two years of events with ALSCCA or TVR.Originally posted by JohnW8 View PostWill the Autocross Annual Inspection take place at this event?
Rules as stated in Supps for yearly tech:
12. Annual Tech:
Annual Tech will be offered by the Alabama Region for
competitors meeting the following requirements:
a) Current Alabama Region SCCA Member
b) Minimum of two years competition experience
c) Permanent numbers and class letters displayed on vehicle
in accordance with Solo rulebook requirements
d) Vehicles having passed the Annual Tech procedure
are subject to random “spotchecks” at the discretion of
the Tech Chief. This is to ensure that the competitors are
meeting all Technical Inspection requirements after the initial
inspection. In addition, any vehicle with an annual tech
certification that experiences a mechanical failure during
competition is subject to a second annual tech inspection.
You have to specifically state that you are in need of a yearly tech so that we can get your sticker to you.

Alabama scca test n tune weekend
The Alabama region of SCCA will be hosting its Test n Tune weekend on February 25th and 26th.
The event will be held at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Pelham, Alabama. Saturday the 25th will be open to anyone wanting to run their car. (No points will be awarded as this is not part of the 2012 Championship season. We will have the timing equipment running, however no re-runs will be granted if the equipment fails during your run. This is as much a Test n Tune for running event equipment as it is for running your car.)
Saturday's event will be run just like a normal points event. We will have run groups and work groups. We will make every effort to run the cars as many times as we possibly can giving you the most tune time as possible. You will be expected to work a corner station if you run your car. The price for this event will be our normal event price, $30 for members and $40 for Non-members. No special pricing for first time entrants. Gates will open at 7:30 am for tech inspection and registration. Inspection and Registration will end at 9:00 am. Drivers meeting at 9:15, first car off at 9:30 am.
Sunday's event will be a limited invitation event. Drivers for this event will not have to work as we will be providing the corner workers for this event. We will limit this day to 30 drivers. Cost will be $80.00. This will be maximum running time and tuning time. Equipment will be set up for timing. Gates will open 7:30 and we will plan to have first car off at 9:00 am as there will not be as many people to deal with tech and registration.
If you have any questions please let me know. At this point we are updating Axware. This event will be available for online registration soon.Tags: None
