If I'm in town, I'm there. I'll throw the RS2's on just in case we need to show them what 80ish HP at the wheels is capable of After my last outing in Matt's car, I should probably stick with 80 HP cars!

Guys, I don't think "we" get to run.

              EDIT: ...or do we?

From what I understand we show up, set up, run/officiate the event, see some cool cars, get free stuff, tear down, and go home.

Can we point and laugh at mistakes or do we have to behave?

I'm going to ask for this day off, so mark me for a "yes."

Question. Is anyone going to attend who knows how to set up the lights? I've never done it, but I could learn ... that wouldn't hurt. Just making sure we're covered.

I don't see any reason why the workers couldn't make fun runs at the end of their event before we pack everything up...

When we did a similar event at the Galleria parking lot for the Lotus club a few years ago, I found that some drivers actually enjoyed pointers from club riders (or driving their car while they rode and observed). Some people already know it all, while others enjoy learning.

I would also suggest that we invite several of the Hoover council to observe or even ride along. You never know who may convert after they watch , ride, or drive...

The BRC lot is looking "dog" tired...

The BRC lot was dog tired a few years back. At least the part that we have been relegated to. I'm happy that we have a place to run, but the prospect of newer pavement can only be a good thing.

BRC will be unusable very soon. Like I mentioned to John, even the "good" surface has a huge crater in it.

the upper lots are still great though. Is there just no chance of them ever opening back up to us?

The upper lots aren't so great anymore...the grass is high enough for a rallycross

Seriously, yesterday, just like every event since they re-opened on sunday, there was NO ONE parked in the upper lots. The only inconvenience to BRC customers would be having to block off the first pass through and have them go around to get to the lower lots.

Matt, it's super easy to aim the lights. there's a sight on the top of each one, you just aim it into the reflector box. But i'll be there.
