Wow! Sounds like the school was the place to be this past weekend. I'm glad to hear that there were several Alabama folks there. Congrats John on getting the job done. Now you can go out there and kick some ass as well as show a wheel or two....lol.

Yep, I'm still going to Time Trial. I think, personally it's the best way to get track time in a competitive environment and learn the best lines around a given course. (Shameless Time Trial plug.)

From what has been published the last few years it is the people with Time Trial experience who do well in the schools and don't screw up their car and someone elses.

No one on their lid. Domino's was back on track after some bodybending. Bugg's car was back out in the same session (after a 45 min oil dry experience for the track crew) with some new suspension parts and running on street rear tires. THe Mustang, 924 and F500 were hors de combat.

The BuggBoyZ Honda is loaded and heading to Road ATL this afternoon. The RR suspension is tweaked - about twice the camber I'd like - and the window net mounting rod is tighter than it was. I think that means a LOT of stuff moved when it got hit. This weekend will be the test. [crossing fingers]

Unfortunately, George, sounds like the cage is tweaked along with the tub. We have a guy in B'ham that can pull it back straight. Ask Steve Patterson.........CB

Sadly, there may be more bad news, after this weekend. On the tilt-bed Saturday morning, I think. . .

George put his car into the wall at T4. Cold tires, cold track, cold driver. He says the car is toast but he is all right.

Yup. Brain fade on the part of the driver. This time the tub is more than tweaked. It was a hard hit.

Nice of 'em to move those walls back a year or two ago, so you had more time to think about what was going wrong. . .

                          I'm glad you're OK.

Sorry to hear that George. Is it fixable?

Probably... with a new tub/cage. But I happen to have another CRX sitting in the shop next to the race car. It was going to be a street car, but plans change. I started taking the race car apart yesturday and the deeper I got the worse it looked. Every lateral support piece under the car is kinked. The floor is buckled. The rocker panel is kinked. The cage shifted, or more likely the body shifted around the cage about a half-inch.

I think it's start over time.

I think I need a little more practice in a FWD before I try something with walls - hard walls - around it.
