Sounds like my problem - the three big surprise spins I've had were in the Fiero once at a TGPR autocross (remember those?) and the Escort at 6 at Barber and in 12 at Road A. All were related to not remembering that the pedal on the right is a throttle, not an on-off switch.

Sheesh, I guess I didn't count that one because it wasn't my car. That culvert really looked big through the side window.
