Dr.Jeckyll (AKA my nissan with the mad max switch ) is finally getting new life. I just ordered eagle hbeams and CP pistons in .020 OS . Dropping the CR from 9.5:1 to 9:1 and have scrounged the S13 longer duration cams,redrilled the cam gears so they can be adjustable from -5*-2.5*0*+2.5*+5* so the cams can be degreed. Dropping everything by the machinist for boring and clearancing in a week or two and hopefully have him assembled and ready to stuff in a month.The off season gets really short when you have things to dodge such as christmas , Sediv annual meeting,our awards banquet ,thanksgiving,and god only knows what else plus building a new motor . What off season?

actually tore down the other block and found what blew it up. The oil filter bypass valve came all to pieces and blocked the oil hole to the crank . Spun the #3 rod bearing ,tore up the main bearings ,and almost ruined the head and cams . Of ourse the crank is done unless i decide later to have it turned but i dislike undersized cranks on a motor I will be beating on .
