Dr.Jeckyll (AKA my nissan with the mad max switch ) is finally getting new life. I just ordered eagle hbeams and CP pistons in .020 OS . Dropping the CR from 9.5:1 to 9:1 and have scrounged the S13 longer duration cams,redrilled the cam gears so they can be adjustable from -5*-2.5*0*+2.5*+5* so the cams can be degreed. Dropping everything by the machinist for boring and clearancing in a week or two and hopefully have him assembled and ready to stuff in a month.The off season gets really short when you have things to dodge such as christmas , Sediv annual meeting,our awards banquet ,thanksgiving,and god only knows what else plus building a new motor . What off season?

Forum will no longer be utilized!
After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.
Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.
What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

Ricky you're going to make me switch to a higher compression piston. I can't let you be faster than me. And I am planning a reappearance next season.

actually tore down the other block and found what blew it up. The oil filter bypass valve came all to pieces and blocked the oil hole to the crank . Spun the #3 rod bearing ,tore up the main bearings ,and almost ruined the head and cams .
