My car must be easy on tires. 235s on a fOCUS have plenty of rubber to spread the heat around, I suppose. They never got sticky at the TnT because it was cold, but loved points 1. Got them used off the forum here, and 12 or so BRC runs later they look the same. The Toyo R888 is 100 treadwear, and some people don't even call them R-comps. If they ever wear out, I'll try to pick up another used set. I <3 my 15 inch wheels.

Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

I did get street-ish Eagle F1 GS-D3's (ST rain tires?) on clearance from Tire Rack and everything went very smoothly. ZX3 also took advantage of that.

I pretty much agree. They seem more manageable as well. I'd like to think that I can use these as a transition from squealing summer tires to the "oh look, I'm facing backwards" breakaway of real meats. Honestly though, I didn't want to abuse my street tires so I started looking for something cheap. Things just worked out well.
Does anybody have any used 255/40/13's? I know of a 65 Mustang that wants to race.... just kidding... kinda.

That's actually what that started the thought process! The car was supposed to be bought, tweaked, tuned, and sold as a money making endeavor, but somehow it just stuck around. It's really a cruiser (i6, auto, bench seat) but it keeps making pouty faces when I drive off to the races and leave it behind. Oh, and something tire related, so as not to get too far off topic.
