2 of the 3 places I usually run are especially nasty on soft compound tires. If I ran Milton Frank or Turner Field all the time I could squeeze quite few more runs out of a set. My tires are also 13" diameter so I get more revolutions out of them than those big old 17" tires. They'd have to wear quicker...right

I believe you're right John. The short 13's don't last quite as long. My 710's have right at 100 runs on them and they're basically done. They've never been flipped, are evenly worn across the entire surface, and are no longer sporting any grooves.

i was told it comes down to heat cycles, so basically as long as you keep em warm, the heat cycle isn't over, which explains why everyone at nats has codrivers.

maybe the 295's'll be big enough to not run through em too fast

295's? Why so small? You should go for 335's...

I just noticed that! That sucks, I got my 205/50/15 Falken Azenis RT-615's for 67 dollars a tire! Tire Rack couldn't even come CLOSE to that...

When did tire rack start carrying Falken tires?

I have no idea how many tires are left, but if you're looking for a bargain on great ST tires, get some RE01Rs from Tire Rack. I just picked up (4) 245/45 -17 for $78 each.

I've also run the Hankook Z214 (r-comp) from Frisby Tire. They were on sale for $85 each last year. I got at least 70 runs on them in a VERY camber-challenged, 2900# car. I was very pleased with the performance, especially considering the price. They were good enough at the end of their life to record 2nd fast PAX at the Bham test-n-tune last month... just before the cords poked through

I got a set of these from tirerack about a month ago - good price, service, & quick delivery. I put about 100 track miles on them at Barber and some highway miles - and I'm curious how much life AX will take out of them. Fingers crossed.
