  • Where to get magnets?

Anybody know where I can buy a magnet sheet to put my numbers on?
I bought some cheapo stuff and its good for maybe holding a sticky note to a fridge!
I can order some nice ones from Grassroots Motorsport but just wondered if theres a local source somewhere.
    Thanks.

The Region had some good blank material, cheap, at the Solo events, this year. It's probably in the trailer, right now, unless John Waight still has it.

If you go commercial, I've had recent good experiences with iZoom graphics - http://www.izoomgraphics.com/

Several years ago, I bought from this company - http://www.soloperformance.com/

Both of these outfits advertise in GRM, and you may find others, there, as well.

I got mine on ebay. I think they were slightly more expensive than $6, though... so Ricky wins this one. They do look really nice though!

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

I highly recommend iZoom (Chuck linked earlier). They are affordable, great quality and to SCCA specs. It's worth the trouble in my opinion unless you just really want something unique ... you know, like a really funky SM311 on your yellow car.

On a side note, I need some material as well for sponsor magnets.

Well, the first time that car goes to a NT or Divisional, that'll be corrected . . . not!

I just received my numbers from i-zoom... they look great! Definitely more than $6, but they offer a 'standard' set for only $30. It's a great deal for something professional that will last for years. I can't wait to show them around... when is the first 2009 event in Bham?????

iZoom on ebay... compete for better prices! No bidders on the numbers so far, this is how I got mine... usually there will only be one or two bidders, and they have an auction up almost constantly. Check it out! (I didn't realize it was iZoom when I got mine, but I just checked after hearing the name thrown around on this thread)...

For the record there will be no more three digit single driver numbers. I let those that were running them keep them for the season since I made that decision half-way though the season. No new three digit single driver numbers were given out, and there will be none next year (Sara.)

Two driver cars are, of course, a different story.

I see where this is heading kindof. The material we sell for 6 bux is enough material to make your numbers .It is not the numbers. For 6 bux you get the material to cut them out.I just wanted to make sure that was clear. Also ,Darryl Engle is doing vinyl work if I understand correctly from him .He is a club member so I would say you needed to try and see what he can do for you as well.

As mentioned http://www.soloperformance.com/ has the sheet material or pre-cut numbers available. This is the company that now supports the National Solo scene and is the new official supplier of SCCA apparel as well. Very prompt service at a fair price. Very autocross friendly.
