I just need the blank rectangle shaped sheet, no numbers, letters, or anything else.
As long as it's magnetic enough to NOT fly off the car when I'm dodging cones then for $6 a sheet...I'm good!

But I will keep in mind the other outlets (izoom and whatnot) since they have some nice looking stuff.
    Thanks all who replied!

BTW, are we able to keep the same numbers we had last year? I kinda like being number 13.

You have to get an attorney to file the correct paper but it's real easy. One firm that handles a lot of these is Dewey, Cheatham, & Howe. they take cash or extend credit through their credit manager, Helen Waite. They say if you need credit, go to Helen Waite.

Another route would be to speak with Mr. Evan Waugh- he is an expert with numbers under 100!

Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection ...... again.

                      How are numbers assigned?

I am a rookie and would like to know how numbers are assigned etc. I am planning to run my NC this year in CS and I need to order some numbers. How do I find out what numbers are not taken etc? I would like to not have to buy 22 magnetic digits. May be dumb question but I don't know where else to ask. I've seen some nice ones available from a couple of places.

                      Thanks,

You can look at past results to see what number everyone is running. Also check the Novice and Tire classes. Then pick a couple of digits that are not generally used and that you like. For example, looking at the TNT results, you could pick "5", "7" and "8". That would give you 5, 7, 8, 57, 58, 75, 78, 85, and 87. If you choose a the right font, a "6" can become a "9" also. It's always a good idea to get a "1" for those occasions when you have a co-driver and if you don't have a co-driver - well than you have even more choices for numbers.

Don't forget your class designation letters.

Also there are rules on the size, stroke and color of your numbers. If you're going to buy/make some, you might as well be legal.

I'll go ahead and paste those here from the 2011 Solo Rule book:
                        "3.7 VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION
                        A. All vehicles must display numbers and class letters on both sides,
which must be readable by Timing & Scoring, Course, and Grid
                        workers at all times.
                        B. Only one set of numbers and class letters may be visible while the
                        vehicle is running.
                        C. Class shall be represented by the upper-case abbreviated form rath-
er than be spelled out. Ladies’ classes shall be indicated by the letter
“L” following the class letters. (Example: “BSPL” instead of “B Street
                        Prepared Ladies”).
                        D. Numbers and class letters should be positioned next to each other.
All letters and numbers must be on body panels, not on windows.
All numbers and class letters must use the same typeface and the
same color, and this color must provide adequate contrast to the
background color (see Appendix F for examples).
                        E. Numbers must be a minimum of 8” high with a 1.25” stroke. Class
letters must be a minimum of 4” high with a 0.75” stroke. In all cases,
the height of the class letters must be between 25% and 75% of
the height of the numbers. Stroke width must be at least 10% of the
                        height (see Appendix F.)
                        F. The “1” on two-driver cars and the “L” on Ladies class cars are sub-
ject to all of the above requirements with regard to placement, color,
                        size, and stroke.
                        G. Karts may use numbers and class letters of reduced size provided
that the following conditions are met:
                        1) Numbers must be displayed on the front and rear in addition to
                        both sides.
                        2) Class letters must be on both sides.
                        3) In no case may the numbers be smaller than 6” in height with 3⁄4”
stroke, using a high-contrast color and background.
                        H. For National Championship, National Tour, and Divisional compe-
tition, current official SCCA required decals must be displayed on
each side of the vehicle in a prominent location.
For National Championship, National Tour, and Divisional events,
one official SCCA-approved National sponsor identification logo
must be displayed in an upright position, in a prominent location on
each side of the vehicle. Additional sponsor and/or event specific de-
cals may also be required; refer to event supplemental regulations.
Further information is contained in Appendix F."
