Forum will no longer be utilized!
After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.
Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.
What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

It still seemed to be fast, I didn't notice any loss of power. Could just be a funky exhaust leak that only happens under higher EGT's. Could be a leprechaun.Originally posted by Trigger View Postyup that was me. between the new gear, entry, gas, etc. I had about the cost of two miata motors invested in the weekend. so I wasnt gonna mis out on the fun. as long as it ran, I was getting my slideways on! :-)M. FYI, I checked my fuel pressure. its low. about 10 psi below the book minimum. so it was a fuel issue. not sure if its ethanol gunk related or just stuff getting old. either way, I am gonna take the opportunity to gear up with a new pump, filter, strainer, and shiny new regulator with a gauge on it.You can't unpull a Trigger

I hope that's it. I was worried that you melted it down when you pulled offline during the shootout. I hate ethanol fuel.Originally posted by Trigger View PostFYI, I checked my fuel pressure. its low. about 10 psi below the book minimum. so it was a fuel issue. not sure if its ethanol gunk related or just stuff getting old. either way, I am gonna take the opportunity to gear up with a new pump, filter, strainer, and shiny new regulator with a gauge on it.John W8

That would make sense. My volvo was sitting for about 6 months and was making pretty much the same noise, except it was doing it all through the rev range. Run some fuel injector cleaner through a low tank, then swap out the filter and load her up with some fresh gas.Originally posted by Trigger View PostFYI, I checked my fuel pressure. its low. about 10 psi below the book minimum. so it was a fuel issue. not sure if its ethanol gunk related or just stuff getting old. either way, I am gonna take the opportunity to gear up with a new pump, filter, strainer, and shiny new regulator with a gauge on it.M. My little girl car sat on jackstands for 3 months during the winter and i had the same problem with a sluggish car. After finally burning off the old and replenishing with new fuel and a cleaner, it started coming back around as good as 114 mean miata horses could. John Can'tW8 on one side, Andy Tow on the other, and Ricky Ragan on the side, we were all out to win our classes and represent the Alabama region. Andy comes in with his new beautiful 325i, and he has it nicely sorted. Last time he was out in November he had a brake line burst and ran off in front of Joe Clayburn, who caught some brake fluid on the windshield. Andy pulled the e-brake and gets nothing. With very quick thinking he puts it in 2nd and spins the rear around just before he hits the inside fence. Anyway now Andy is getting about a 4" play in the pedal and is still remembering November. He bled the lines and still got the pedal drift. He went out and laid down some good times. So did John and Ricky. Congratulations John, for winning 1st and 3rd in the Roulette Run. That took great consistency. It was good to see Charles and Barbera Wright at there 1st TT, and thanks Charles for the calming pep talk. All in all, the best fun you can have and with good friends. Also, congrats to Eric Trigg for the CSP win.

Thanks wally. I can't hardly wait to do it again. you guys should come down and play with my at NOLA motorsports park. they are NASA TT's. so most CSP guys will be TTD. but events are may 5&6, then another june 23&24. I wont make the may event due to conflicts. but come on down.
FYI for anyone that care. After checking the fuel pressure and finding it low, I had a suspicion that if it wasn’t ethanol gunk, that it was the regulator. Because when I dead head the pump, it put out 70 psi. more than enough. So I changed the fuel filter, and strainer, and while I was in the tank took a good look at the gas. It looked fine to me from a visual inspection. So I grabbed the FPR off a parts car. Buttoned it all back up. went for a long drive with several WOT romps through 3rd gear. Never missed a beat. Running like a champ. Wish I woulda had a spare regulator at last weekends event. and glad I didn't blow anything up running it like that. You can't unpull a Trigger
