Well the event is just over a month away and there are only 3 drivers signed up on MotorsportReg.com. I guess you all just like seeing me getting all nervous. Don't wait to register! Registering online doesn't cost you a thing and it helps me get some sleep at night.

You know I lose sleep over workers too.

Yeah we need to get a log book for 1 or 2 cars and the annual tech on another. But we could if needed just do it on Friday before the event.

If you can get it done before the event that would be a tremendous help in the logistics of the event. There isn't enough time on the Friday night before the event to do several vehicle logbooks. It take roughly one hour or so per vehicle and we only have the place from 5:00pm and one licensed scrutineer.

Friday night before the event is for the quick tech inspection of Level 2 cars and checking in for the event.

It is highly recommended to get you vehicle annual inspection or logbooks done well prior to the event. Rich Crowell is the licensed Scrutineer in our area and he is in Huntsville.

Yeah I agree with ya and last year we did just that. We went to the tech. that was done in Trussville.
I guess I must be missing something , what is everyone else doing for tech? I am kinda new at this so I am sure it is just me but I would think the easier it is for people to have/find information the better it would be for attendance at the events. NASA has the inspection station locations and contact information listed on their web site. I am sure it is on our web site somewhere and I just missed it and maybe should have asked these questions a month ago. If we can find Rich's # we can call him and see if we can set up something between now and then. If not I agree it will be pressing for time on Friday night and I guess we can just sit this one out or at worst just bring 1 car to try and get tech. on Friday.
Last year when the Tech. event was set up we planned for it and signed up the first week registration was open. I wonder if this is part of the reason we have only 3 people signed up so far?
We will call Edwin to get Rich's #, does anyone have Edwins #????

              LOL
              Thanks

last year we were able to set up an annual inspection at Chuck Baaders home inTrussville. This year we have not been able to schedule the same event due to scheduling problems. Again there is only one scrutineer in the area. his name is Rich Crowell, he lives in Huntsville.
In regards to what others are doing, I had my annual inspection done by Rich at his home in Huntsville. His number is 256 837 8023. Ive asked if there are any plans for an inspection session in Huntsville to eliminate the friday night last minute crowd. That's all I can do. Until people are willing to step up and get licensed in the specialties needed to put on a race event this is the situation we must put up with. Perhaps we can get Edwin to host a inspection party with Rich. I'll check with Edwin.

I would be happy to direct you to our regions scrutineer but we don't have one. We have to borrow Rich from TVR.

Comparing us to NASA is simply not fair. They are a business, we are a club. They have employees, we have volunteers.

I called Rich earlier today and left a message. Currently there are three BMW's that need to be tech'd as well as a Honda car(s). Edwin has graciously opened his shop to us whenever we need it to do the inspection. Hopefully I will hear something back from Rich and we can plan a day for him to come down.

I talked to Mark K. earlier and he had called Rich about doing a tech at Edwins place.
                    Thanks for Rich's phone #.

I would need to get in on that too. Post up when the time/date has been scheduled!

                            Thanks John.
I hope it will work out and we can get Rich down and get tech. and we can attend the event. We did it last year and you guys did a great job and it was very WELL ran. I can only imagine the amount of work needed behind the scenes required to put something like this on.

If you need a logbook for the upcoming TGPR Time trials event,
This Sunday March 6th at Milton Frank Stadium we will have a couple of divisional scrutineers on site to get you your logbook.

And while you're there why not run the TAC AutoX event and have some more fun on a Sunday afternoon.

Once again, come to Milton Frank Stadium in Huntsville Alabama for a logbooking session from 2 licensed Divisional Scrutineers.
