Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

For those of us who know more about cars than calendars, Father's Day will be June 19, 2011. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father's_Day

On the other matter, it was announced today that the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama presented by Legacy Credit Union will be held on April 10, 2011. http://www.indycar.com/schedule/55-i...ndycar-series/

GEEZ!!!!!!!!! Out of the frying pan and into the fire. So Indy is the 10th???? Alright now it appears that the question is which is going to have the largest impact on our event for out of town drivers who want to stay in motels .

Is it the NASCAR race on the 16th-17th of April or is it the Indy GP at Barbers 9th -10th of April?

I am pretty sure the NASCAR race is going to affect us more but Im not positive. They are apples and oranges.

          NASCAR...no contest in my mind.

On a purely selfish note I really want to work corners for the Indy weekend again, but also want to do the PDX or possible the TT school at TGPR. I'm pretty sure I'd choose drivin' over flaggin' (sorry Chuck , but I wonder if we will be able to get enough workers if we do TGPR on the IRL weekend.

That leaves April 2-3 as the only weekend left in april. But if AMP opens up were screwed.

We are also at the mercy of the track owner and his schedule.

That is why we are talking about his now before TGPR forms a schedule solidly. Barber doesnt even get concrete untill Dec.
