Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

I was driving the green miata...the guy who was trying to give you a point by on grid just to get the inevitable out of the way

Thank you very much Rod, I think most everyone out in our group was very nice and
seemed to be in control of their cars at all times. Very attentive to their surroundings
and all I thought went very well.
As for awfully fast, I had this young gun named Clayton as an instructor and he was
saying ( Brake later here, get on the gas sooner here, turn in later here, and before
you know it.!!!!) Again thanks to all, I had a great time. John

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

I wouldn't be a very good event chairman if I fail to thank the workers who volunteer their time to let others play. I was unable to attend the event this year due to the death of my nephew. What I have heard, is that the drivers all had a good time and the workers all did their jobs and there were only a few incidents reported by the Safety Steward. That is fantastic! I truly appreciate all the folks that volunteered and the folks that stepped up to fill in any blanks. I am grateful to be part of such a supportive group of car people. I hope you all had a good time and look forward to seeing at least a few of you make the next step and get licensed in a race specialty. We need em!

Our region needs licensed Corner Workers, Tech Inspectors, Chief Stewards, Safety Stewards, licensed Grid personnel, licensed Timing and Scoring personnel and Registrars. We have to keep up with the licensing so we can put on events. I appreciate your help on our Time Trial Event, and look forward to seeing you get your licenses.

Thanks to all for all you've done.

That was probably Dave Rensel from Atlanta.
