          Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
          Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

            Working this event can be a lot of fun, and will help you be ready to volunteer for the Club Race at Barber later in the year. Maybe somebody will even show you what a surface (debris) flag looks like, this time. . .

              WORKERS NEEDED AT TGPR April 17-18

              3 weeks since there was any activity on this thread...wow!

              Here's the deal... We need workers for this event and we can offer you free lunch for both days and some track time at the end of each day. PLUS you get the opportunity to help YOUR club provide some peace of mind to the drivers that if there are any issues on track that they will be taken care of.

              Driving race cars is great and I love the feeling of speeding around the track but I know that without the corner workers I am at a much greater risk of injury to myself as well as those around me. The Corner workers aren't just standing there getting too much sun, they are providing a service that is crucial to the running of the event and the safety of the drivers. Once you work a corner at an event it gets into your blood and you find yourself volunteering at Road Atlanta and Barbers and Nashville and getting more involved. Too often folks say they just want to drive and not do any thing else but I've said it for years.. without corner worker these events WILL NOT take place.

              So far I have 5.85 people signed up to work the event. I could use 20. I'd settle for 15

              Do the math. Step up and support the club.

              Your help is needed.

              Thanks

                That's the meatball flag, right? We didn't even have those at the stations last time. But, we've got lots of them in the trailer, all neat and organized!

                EDIT :: Wait ... no. It's the yellow/red "Griffindor" flag, isn't it?

                        Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
                        Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

                          Paperwork?! This is get up early and spend the day watching cars racing by. Occasionally getting a chance to pop someone with a blue flag to let them know they are about to be overtaken and might want to look in there mirrors.

                          Give me a name and what kind of experience so I can place you where you ought to be.
