Sweet! You talked me into it.

Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

Or, to put it most correctly, NOT red, NOT yellow, and preferably white. This applies to foul-weather gear, also, if possible.

The object of the white clothes is to make you visible, for safety, while minimizing the chance of distracting the drivers who may think you are a flag, or helping them ignore (by virtue of overexposure) the most-important flags, which are red and yellow.

I might remember to bring a few old, smelly XXXL shirts from my rag pile, in case anybody doesn't have what they need in this area. ;^)

I seemed to remember a corner worker or two Ladorday weekend at barbers wearing yellow rain coats, kinda looked like a standing yellow in the rain. Not a good idea.

Please don't forget to purchase the refreshments for the Worker Party for Saturday evening. Somehow, that wasn't on anybody's "To Do" list last year. Sad, but true.

Also, my wife and hopefully a couple friends that have been 2 the autox before, will probably be there. They don't have any corner experience, but are willing to help out.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Just a reminder that the more folks we can get to help with this event, the smoother it will be. If you've been on the fence about helping, this weekend, please jump off the fence on the side of your fellow club members, who need a few volunteers to get to taste their favorite form of motorsport. Don't worry about registering online, now, since most everybody's already in Talladega. Just make your way to 46 Pilgrim Lane, Munford, AL 36268 around 7 AM and we'll get you trained up and on a corner or some other place you can help.

If you can't volunteer, feel encouraged to at least stop by the track for a few minutes to see what all of the fuss is about: I've already seen a couple big V8 cars, some Miatas, some other Mazdas, a genuine Lotus 7, the HMA Odyssey, and at least two winged AMod cars. It should be a good show.

I had a blast flagging this weekend. This format is more fun for the drivers and more fun for the flaggers as well.

As I posted elsewhere, thanks Sara, C, Vincent, Eric, Charles, Edwin, Miles, Mike, the Hodgins family, Paul, Maurice and Michael for your enthusiastic help with flags.

Also, Greg kept things moving with his PA skills, Eden and Dave did T&S, and thanks to all the folks from both clubs who did all of the prep work leading up to the event: John, Craig, Pirate, and, of course, Richard at Tech, among others.
