Thanks, I need that kind of pressure. I honestly think it's going to be allot of fun. The other side of the coin is, I can't believe Greg's is handing the classroom over after umpteen MILLION years. I hope I can do the spot justice.
So all I can say is, HELP!!! If you can make it out to Gardendale next Saturday you absolutely won't regret it. I've been involved with several of the classes over the last two years and it's amazing to see the transformation from first thing in the morning to the end of the day. Just knowing how much we can help these kids (and parents) is a very cool thing.

fixed that for you, and it appears I CAN make this one... i need some destructions on how to get there and what time does it start?
If you think matt smells, you can just take 65 north to the Gardendale Exit (crackerbarrell on the left) and head right up main street. Turn Right at the 4th light, or the third light, and the church will be on your right or left respectively. It's real easy to find. The 4th light has a walgreens on the corner.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.
For the first time, in a long time, I have a feeling - no, I know - that this is going to be one of those great clinics tomorrow, one that will be long remembered. One where everything clicks, everything works.
I just posted a parent's comment from last week's clinic, and I responded to an email from someone who was referred to us by someone who attended the clinic three years ago. Brother, that's staying power!
As much as I know the scheduling sucks, the "all day on your feet" hurts, the "pay" (HA!) is lousy, and it all gets to be commonplace after a while, what we do MAKES A DIFFERENCE! We are the BEST THING AROUND for these kids. Sometimes, I get the feeling that it's all too elementary, too basic to make a difference. But then, I'm brought back to reality by a simple, single comment like those I've received today.
Tomorrow, a small group of ALSCCA members will do our best to tip the odds in favor of a handfull of innocent kids. It's going to make a difference in their world, and ultimately, in the world we all enjoy. I only wish you could all share in our pleasure.
More tomorrow after the clinic........

Kick me again. I was thinking about you guys all day, yesterday, while I was at work. I'm glad you gave it a try. I'm always disappointed when I can't make it.

I was honestly skeptical before today, but, wow I had a blast.
you guys who aren't/haven't done this are seriously missing out
It was great to have you there, and I'm glad you enjoyed the experience of helping out. It's always refreshing to have workers on staff who have the ability to climb into almost any car and show the students that it realy can be done in their car!
This team of workers put up with huge rain early in the day and blazing sun in the afternoon. And to top it all off, every one of the 15 registered students was in attendance. That's a first; usually there are two or three cancellations the week before and maybe one "no show". But we had a full compliment of students on hand and the workers seamlessly went about their duties making sure every student got the instruction they needed.
Thanks to all of you who made this clinic possible:
Ricky Ragan, Sean Yoder, Matt Williams, Elaine Ferrell, Michael Cholewa, Vincent Coker, and Ervin Carder.
A special "thank you" also goes out to Mark & Julie Stewart (i.e. Kirk Racing Products) for being our on-site host for the day. Their daughter Kristen was one of our students.
