  • Clinic this Saturday, April 25, 2009

We are conducting our next clinic the Saturday, April 25th at Gardendale First Baptist Church. We have 14 students registered and ready to go, so if you would like to see what the clinics are all about and maybe learn how you can help out, please come on!

The address of the church is:

    940 Main Street
    Gardendale, AL 35071

We begin checking in students at 8:45, and the clinic begins promptly at 9:00. We usually out of there before 4:00. So come on out and find out about the great work YOUR Alabama Region SCCA is doing!

as usual. I'll bring donuts again unless people would prefer hardees or something else.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

I'll be there with the keys to the building and willing to help. Zac will not be joining me this time so I'll chip in where needed.

I wonder which way would be quicker, this Saturday - I-20 or Hwy 78 to Riverside. I know 78's a bad choice after the race ends, but then, again everything might be at that point.

http://www.speedwaymaps.com/fanguide/Talladega09/ seems to indicate they don't expect big traffic loads prior to 8 AM Saturday. It also says WTDR 92.7 will have traffic updates.

Way too technical, Chuck! Just remember the anthem:

                        Git cher motor runnin'
                        Git out on the highway
                        alookin' for adventure
                        in whatever comes our way

                        See you there-

I would think early in the morning I-20 would be fine. I know it was last year when we had that track day on the day of the race at TGP.

                              Red shirt day

Dr. Branch has come up with a splendid idea; all workers should wear a bright red shirt. The official NDCCC shirt is a red polo, but we ran out of those about 5 years ago. Cholwea and I are the only ones who have them, but I may be able to find an NDCCC T-Shirt or two somewhere.

At any rate, if you have a bright red polo or t-shirt, please wear it on Saturday to signify that you are one of the team!
