After the last clinic I was thinking it would be a great idea to do a little tech inspection before we get cars running around cones. Tires, Brakes, Battery hold down and a tire pressure check to show the drivers how to check the air in their tires.

Are there one or two folks that could help out with the mini tech? Anyone that was at the last class knows why this would be more than a good idea.

yeah i've driven past the races early in the morning on I20 for autox before and it's fine. they usually get the race traffic off to the two right lanes leaving the inside lane open for traffice.

i think the tech inspection is a good idea just to make sure everything is good.

note too self: need to go shopping for red polo.

        Tech Idea = GOOD

I like the tech idea. How about calling it "Tech & Teach"; the cars are inspected at the same time the students - and their parents in most cases - are learning some basic skills.

Sean also mentioned to me another of his great ideas; that we include a decent tire pressure guage as a gift to each student. We will need to adjust our pricing, and I'll need to find a source for some $5 non-pencil type guages first, but I plan to include that in the future as well.

BTW, HALF of our students on Saturday are from homes where a sibling has taken the course previously. I think that says a lot about this program.

        THANKS GUYS!!!!!

How many students do we have in this class? I may have a way to get some gauges for this one. Just need a number.

I like the tech idea as well. We can knock it out quickly with 3 or 4 instructors on it.

80% of my shirts are white, for some reason, but I do have a red Hawaiian-style shirt.

I'm leaning more towards heading over to help with this, even though the boss wants me to work overtime. These clinics are too much fun to resist.

Walmart used to sell small ones that were part key chain for 4.99 i believe. They werent always the best, but if you put it on the valve 3 times it would give you pretty accurate readings.

You must've slept through this part of the class. Greg has always advocated getting a nice digital gauge that gives repeatable results. I think we'd be doing a disservice if we give 'em craptastic gauges.

It was great 98% of the time, but if you didn't put it on the valve straight, you would get strange readings. whatever.

If you guys need some "donations" to cover the gauges i'd be more than happy to help.
