no launching off the rev limiter, launching off the 2 step
as it is if i can find the green for an upgraded front Diff I will have no problems with the 2 step launches, until i snap an axle or tie rod. As the upgraded diff will have a lifetime warranty
Well the more i think about the issue the less i believe it is the diff.
The "hopping" only come on at full lock. Problem is, there is absolutely no play in the axles, neither is bleeding, the CV joints are still connected, so I am dumbfounded. I was thinking it could possibly be a tie rod, but, can't justify it only happening at full lock.
Honestly, I haven't noticed it since the auto x. Maybe subaru's have metal that magically heals them. One thing I have thought about is it came on after I hot lapped the car 4 runs in a row. Since I haven't experienced it since then I wonder if it was something to do with the sway/link's.
That almost sounds like what an old military deuce-and-a-half would do on sharp turns if the 6WD was engaged. The different turning radii of all of those wheels would cause binding in the drive train with a transfer case and no center diff. It'd jerk the wheel right out of your hands, IIRC.

I think it is the center diff Erv ... the front and rear wheels were chirping and that's not supposed to happen. A suspension issue wouldn't cause that either. Sorry man ...
