i have one negative thing to say, and that was doing worker assignments while runs were going on in the trailer. It complicated things, and I canstantly had to ask corners to call in again.

Course was awesome, I still managed to find a cone on every run though. I don't know about multiple lines, except the turnaround coming downhill(none of them worked) lol.

I second this. The trailer is usually pretty busy dealing with cones and entering cars for runs. It was a little more so on Sunday with start not visible, but at least cone calls weren't out of control. The announcer in the trailer was fine as I've already learned to just block that out mostly. But, it would be nice to keep other distractions to a minimum to help ensure that times and calls are correct.

My suggestion would be to just let everyone get their assignments before the event starts if that format is used again.

Main course design was by Jamie Holladay. Bill and I helped with setup and tweaking of course for your enjoyment!

It was fun to get out with my friends again! And with the new street tires showing little wear after the event, it may even be cost effective! Thanks to all who came out.

And a big congrats to Michael Cholewa for the driver of the day! He was beating down the PAX with an auto trans Rabbit on street tires. Which goes to show how the NDCC clinics can improve your driving! Contact Greg Lee to volunteer and improve your driving skills.

If I weren't cheating, he would have blown past me....

I'll dig myself in a bit deaper and say that I thought the course was great fun and easy to read and that I have no idea where I was missing. Several mentors were watching my three runs and no one noticed DNF's from the side lines. I'm just finding it hard to believe and hard to let down everyone who helped me upgrade the car this season. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Can anyone comment on this. Mark is listed as DNFing all 3 of his runs, which seems highly unlikely. Can anyone chime in as to where he was missing an obstacle?

Mark, I was running in your group, so I wasn't timing then. I do remember a few people DNFing in the back offset slalom though ... something about missing the last cone. That's odd to me since the last cone had no impact on the course and was just ignored to stay on line. So, people must have been missing the next-to-last cone on the slalom. any chance you did the same?

Ah, so you DNF'd him at start all 3 times? That would make sense since all other CSP guys ran early.

Now I remember Sara asking me something about being timed, but I missed the "only" part. My fault Sara, I don't hear so well, especially with motor going and helmet on. Anyway I've been going over the course in my head and I don't think I missed anything, even at the end of the open slalom. If this is indeed the case, no need to repost results unless you have too. (I would like the points though) If I'd have stayed after cleanup the issue may have been resolved then. Either way, Sunday was a great event and I was having more fun than decent folk should.

The only issue I see with it is if cones were called. We can't mark cones and DNF/RRN as one overwrites the other in the system. So, f I un-DNF you, all 3 runs will be marked as clean. If they were, then that's fine. If you had cones ... well, there might be protest. It's up to the rest of CSP.

I'm removing your DNFs as it's the right thing to do from a timing perspective.

The first first run was +1 midway down the open slalom. The last two were clean as far as I could tell. If any CSP'rs contest the removal of the DNF's, I will drop the whole issue. The points aren't that important to me. I will try to make it much clearer in the future about my "3 runs and done". Thank you for clearing this up.

Okay, thanks. I'll add the +1 to run 1 this evening.

I can't agree more. I was trying to speed up the worker change over. For about fifteen different reasons, this was a BAADDD idea. Worker assignments before cars head off if I'm the event chair.

I keep getting better at this and please don't think they are negative comments. I actually appreciate criticism as it only makes things run better, so thanks for the input.

Bravo! to all who worked this event. It went off as well as it could have and it sure was nice to get home early and get 6 runs.
Bravo! to the course designers-this was one of the best courses I've driven. I never could make the most of it, but the car was happy the whole time and it had a nice flow. The technical parts rewarded you for slowing down enough to make the turns and the fast stuff required a gut check to trust your tires. Nicely done!
