You get to have a unique point of view of event design and operations, and it's less physical work than shagging cones. This carries over to National Tour events, etc. as well. I got in my worker credit at the one Dixie event I attended by helping to control traffic near the timing trailer for a few heats, for instance.
Help your Region and your friends by helping out in this way. It can actually be fun, and it's rewarding to help make events safe.
