There was past talk about Maxwell AFB near Montgomery. Also, I wonder if inventory gets low enough to use one of Hyundai's lots S of Montgomery?

Both of those are mentioned earlier in this thread. I didn't get anywhere with Maxwell a couple years ago for Teen Driver Clinics, even with a couple of TDC alum dads down there as contracts. My guess is it would be very difficult to anything other than short-term access to a facility like the Hyundai lots, if even that.

Even though Montgomery is still in our Region, as W8 cautioned, anything that far from "home base" makes the truck & trailer a limiting factor. Not saying we couldn't pull it off, but the logistics are much different than a Birmingham area site.

But Montgomery looks all downhill on the map....

Any news on a new Auto-X location yet? Anybody been able to get in touch with Oak Mtn., Horsetrack, or Alabama Splash Adventure yet?

Here is a picture & phone for the Pemco location. Surface doesn't look great, but it would be large enough, I believe. This pic is looking from the side street by Budget Rent-A-Car off of Messer Airport Rd. It looks like the back side of these hangers is being used by Mercedes to store cars before shipping. Graham Company (871-7100) is the realty company.

Just the same update you got in the other thread. Josh is working on a schedule with OMA.

Thanks for the Pemco info. Did you try to contact them?

If we got Pemco we should do it Ken Block style and go in and out of the hangers

How 'bout we just buy it, move the airport fence so we're outside of it, gut the hangers, and just run indoors?

Sorry Rod. I didn't see the other thread from Andrew before I asked today. No, I have not contacted anyone about the Pemco site. I was looking around some old industrial areas that I was familiar with to see if any of them were suitable. This ones a little rough, but it would be a LONG course. I still think the AL. Splash Adventure would be worth checking out, if we have a contact there.

This is what I'm talking about! (This may give Clay a heart attack if we got this area.)

I like it! Then if we own it, it's indoors, then we can have an event every weekend! That should shorten the ROI on the purchase!

No worries Chris...mistaken identity on my part

Thanks for helping in the search. Going back to proven sites is one thing, but we need all hands on deck to uncover new ones.
