I found it faster and easier to go left and around the middle cone...I tried both ways but the middle was faster for me.

But this is coming from a tire shredding newby...: )

welcome Ryan, you are so wrong its funny yoder.

why on earth would it be faster to make the turn around into a hairpin instead of a sweeper? hopefully someone has video to show what I am talking about. If you had added one more gate, I could see it being faster going right of the first cone

if you had added the red cones, it mighta been faster to go right

With the line I took through the box before that slalom, I found it faster to keep left when entering the slalom. This gave me a nice WOT area from the second slalom cone to the braking point before the right hander.

I honestly think it was just as fast either way.

Yea...I just couldn't seem to pull it to the right fast enough while exiting the gate before.

Maybe in the stab and steer world of Evo and STI it didn't matter because of the million HP each you guys have, but the line going to the right in low HP cars gave you a much nicer longer arch into the bottom of the sweeper and what you gave up by getting to the right of the 1st cone you didnt have to give back at the 1st apex cone of the sweeper.

It was just as fast either way ... in any car. The chice was a couple more MPH or a better entry line.

4th and 5th overall went left. Where did the rest of the top 5 go?

Yoda, you do such a good job of egging people on... You only ran a few runs in others cars. I assure you after watching about 100 cars pass through that area, going to the left of the 1st cone was FASTER! You had to give up a ton of speed to go to the right, and you didn't make up that speed at the exit. Why? Because it gave you an even WORSE line into the sweeper, making it a tighter and LONGER turn to get up the hill.

And I'll still be beating a certain Rabbit, I just won't be in the same class!

I just don't know how going right would give me a better line into the sweeper. Seemed like it set me up for a sharper entry.

But again, coming from a new guy.

I was watching people drive in WAY too deep when they went left and completely locking it down at the apex cone for the first part of the sweeper. Going right turned that into a smooth arch instead of a drive it in too deep and then kill all forward momentum situation. If you get on the brakes early enough then going left worked fine. It was a case of being able to not drive in too deep when going left that made me want to see newer folks going right and giving up the entry speed in order to take the entry of the sweeper more smoothly and with more speed. I'm done.

the only thing i'll give to that is the first cone, if you came through hot you were way off camber, but, if you let the car turn in off throttle and then got on it, it lined up perfect.

i went through both slaloms in both directions and for me right on the first one and left on the second worked best. I am just trying to understand, not upset you.

Hopefully someone has video of both directions on the slalom.
