They announced that Darryl won CSP for the SEDIV part of the event.

After talking to Mark early on Sunday and him saying that ALSCCA points #3 & #4 would be done based on the same Rally-X scoring I thought I understood everything.... Then Sam went and announced at the awards that the ALSCCA points #3 & #4 will be like normal and only your fastest run counts from each day... so not sure which way our local points are going at this time.

This was difficult to figure out, I had the same thing going on with Brian Flanagan. I think the club should investigate the live timing that they used in Knoxville for the first SEDIV event. It showed everything, including DNFs, cones, etc and you knew right away what you needed on your next run.

        Thanks Jerry!

I was going to stick around but when I went to the trailer there were a lot of animated discussions, lots of calculators and papers and pens, furiously flying about.

        I chose to go home.

The results as announced on Sunday afternoon are correct. We are working to combine everything into one easy to read document and will get that posted sometime this week. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

We did have some issues this weekend as we have never run the Rally-X scoring system, much less over a two-day event. As we all know, preparation before getting started is key, and we thought we were going to be ok before the event. We didn't have all of our boxes checked (literally) and thus it threw off the calculations the software was doing. But we made it work, even if we did have to use good ol' math by hand.

Sorry for the confusion as to how the ALSCCA points were going to be scored. I thought since we were having such trouble with calculating timing, we would just follow what we did with SEDIV instead of having to do a whole different set just for us. But Rob clarified that it wouldn't be an issue so we will just be doing the "normal" system of your best run on each day.

After a while we both got tired trying to calculate what the status of CSP was and went home.

I think I won a battle or two, but I think he won the war.

            Looking for verification.

Somebody said a long time ago; Without results, we're just driving around in a parking lot.
I realize that the lack of live timing with these event types, Rally Scoring, is a pain. This will be fixed before next year's SEDIV event. Our remaining events will be regular scoring and we will either have live timing and/or it will be easier to keep up with. We are working on the results and they will be posted once we get them in order. Please be patient. Thanks

Thanks for clearing up the local points thing Mark!

You guys did a great job for a 2 day event. Minimal hick-ups and fun was had by all.

I know there were some large errors on the hand written results so can we check over those ourselves? I know i've already notified Sam. I'm not complaining by ANY means, but according to the results I beat Sara by 50 seconds and I didn't have any runs faster than she did so something was fumbled somewhere at the end of Sunday when doing the math on paper vs computer. She still had class win but her final 6xx.xx number for the combined 2 days was messed up somewhere along the way.

I think if we could get the results page we normally do with the times from all of our runs we could figure up our times on our own and avoid a huge work load on Rob/Sam/ whoever helps do that jazz.

It would be helpful, but Heath....I just don't trust you.

I think my time was like… 300 seconds.. both days combined.. could be less. Who knows?

I thought about this too and looking back that total that we thought was for Sara I think might have been the person above her in a different class. I almost think that SM might have been skipped and not added up at all???

The one picture of the results I took has BSP, STU and I can just see Darryl's time. Those all look to be realistic with the gaps. Darryl's total was 614.***, I was 628.0, Flanagan was 631.5, Sam 635.6, Heath 640.6, Rod 650.6, Tom Hill 689.5 (seems high but he had multiple DNFs on day 1 so probably correct).

IIRC Sara's time showed 695 on the sheet (although I don't have a picture), I doubt her total was that high compared to the ones I listed above.

I understood there would be a difference between SEDIV and ALSCCA scoring this past weekend and like the different results...one could totally lose the SEDIV and yet still do well with normal results for an ALSCCA 3 & 4 (best time vs. accumulated time)
Yes, I sucked at SEDIV results and hope Normal Timing looks better for me....:>)
