Sealer, light poles, cooler temps and 102 drivers who are asked to not scuff up the lot. What could go wrong?

Taking that into consideration, if we can manage to get the Hoover Met a few times next year we'll have 300 people sign up .... more or less.

Glad I'm not the only one worried about this.

Did they just bar S2000s from coming???

.... Nick should come just to make them really nervous!

Looks like the times were swapped in csp.

That was nice of him to point out the error.

How did MFS's sealed surface compare to Oak Mtn?

I didn't feel like I had as much grip as at oak mountain, but it was warmer the last time there. I saw a couple of spots where the sealant was pretty thin, but not the result of racing. Judging by the number of spins I was not the only one that was grip challenged.

They have a better jump than we do.

It was great that we had several ALSCCA folks up to MFS for the last event of the year. Thanks for coming. We also had folks from Chattanooga and Nashville.

As for grip, I think Oak Mtn had more grip than MFS the early event I did there (Points 2) and it was super consistent. As it got dirty in spots over the summer the grip was impacted a bit and became trickier to drive. At MFS I was pleasantly surprised at the good grip, especially after the sun came out: both me and my co-driver got consistent 1.1+ g's lateral in the afternoon on the same Rivals I've been running since Spring. MFS tends to stay a little cleaner than OMA and we are lucky, so far, that we can put the start on unsealed pavement.

At both OMA and MFS, the grip seems to increase rapidly as the line gets rubbered-in.
