Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

This is a valid point. I've thought about buying a smaller box just to put the jack and tools in then the cooler, etc could just be put in the car. The smaller box would allow more even distribution of the tires front to back for a more even load.

I have been considering doing the reverse course thing in Huntsville for the N vs S also. I did one last year and Lee did one this year at JHP. You have to have your setup people willing to miss going out for lunch so they can make the changes and you will find there are many more "cone kickers" and safety inspectors to deal with.

That format also eliminates three run groups as an option.

I'll talk it over at this week's membership meeting

Any one interested in starting a trophy that is given out to the winning team. It would remain in the winning team's possession for the year and then would be up for grabs each year. I am thinking about something custom made.

I like the flag idea that was mentioned in the meeting.

Mark, while the trophy is a great idea, Mark Kilgore and I have to keep up with 5 or 6 trophies already that are "circulating" trophies that we "give out to the winners" at our banquet each year. Somehow, no one ever wants to or remembers to pick up their trophy.

I think it is a big headache to keep up with a trophy.

Will it fit four 285s? I think that's what Sam will need.

well... as of this morning I have no way to get there and nothing to drive. We'll see what shakes loose between now and then.

The fire inspector guy ruled it an electrical fire, I believe he said panel failure.
