Forum will no longer be utilized!
After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.
Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.
What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

clay the problem we ran into was there wasn't really a "safe" way to have two cars on the course. we could have two cars, but, they were going to be approaching each other at some point on the course. This also complicates with various cars being considerably faster than others.Ervin Carder

Just to note, once fun runs got underway, the course opened up a considerable amount on the back side to where it was mostly a straight line with a kink before the finish.
But still, great job.M. Cholewa
Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

Amen!, not to mention that even though he is top dawg, from my experience he is a seriously nice guy who wants everyone to enjoy and improve. He was really helpful to me on my 2nd time up.Originally posted by rlcsolo2 View PostJohn Waight

Can I get an Amen?
But seriously though, props to John Waight for schooling CS
P this season and taking FTD at all but 2? events he attended (and I'm almost sure he was on street tires at those events).
Can I get an Amen?

John is as gracious and friendly as anyone can be. I remember John's first year in autocross, he was always dead last in CSP. He put in the seat time and worked on his car non-stop. Then he bought his first set of Hoosiers and 13' Real wheels and it was on. By his third year we were trying to catch him and that yellow speedster. Count John as a good friend and leader in the SCCA.

And then an "unofficial" 46.9 during fun-runs...
Can I get an Amen?
These times, this performance, can't go without some recognition and further congratulations. I know we are all used to Waight being at the top of the time sheets, but this was a beat-down! Top 5 times on Hoosier A6's, his tires were worn the most of all of them I believe, and he still cleared the field by over a second on his 3rd run. As demoralizing and discouraging as it may have felt at the time, to see John's hands shaking and how pumped up as he was after that run was worth it. (The fun-run was just piling on in my opinion, but whatever.) It's people like Waight that make you better. Whether it is at Nationals or in our own region, somebody eventually will show you that there was more out there, you just didn't find it. Whether it is being beaten by John Waight or Brandon Travasos (the alien that beat me by similar margins and won CSP at both 2011 Solo2 National Tour events Darryl and I went to), it will either kill you or make you stronger. I'm not dead yet, John Waight,...but I'm sure as hell considering other classes (Lee Kingry's Ubercharged Miata sure was a blast to drive during fun-runs).

and and AMEN for Lyle letting me drive his car! Power steering, and +15 hp = GOOD. Someone doing all the work and then saying, "Go ahead, drive it." = PRICELESS

Since I'm wasn't running for points it probably doesn't matter, but my time for run 2 & 3 is somewhat misleading. John Waight let me drive his car after I torched my left front on run 1, so my time was for his CSP car not my CS. Still smiling...what a machine. Thanks again John.
