Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

yes I think the course was awesoem and flow quite well. Other than wind/ leaves issue we had that keep tripping the timing light issue. it was a great event!!

Agreed, everything everybody has already said, plus a big thanks to the people who gave my friend Jason rides and "drifted" around the course.

Meant to post last night and forgot. Sounds like par for the course. I'll have some people there to remind me tonight.

I give credit to all of the course designers. Nick and Griffin stepped up when we needed course designers and they have come up with some great courses and a few not so great.
It's a learning process to find out what works and what doesn't. Keep in mind Clay has been doing course design for over 20 years. Learn from him. He's special.

I thing I ant to touch on, at the start of the first gates and end of the last slolums it seemed like the cars had got a little too close at times was addressed but seemed to get right back to the "unsafe" distance. Is there anyway we can keep this from happening in the future?

                        points 10 results up.

as far as the timing on the cars that was really difficult with the course the way it was setup.

                            Can I get an Amen?

And then an "unofficial" 46.9 during fun-runs...

                            Can I get an Amen?

These times, this performance, can't go without some recognition and further congratulations. I know we are all used to Waight being at the top of the time sheets, but this was a beat-down! Top 5 times on Hoosier A6's, his tires were worn the most of all of them I believe, and he still cleared the field by over a second on his 3rd run. As demoralizing and discouraging as it may have felt at the time, to see John's hands shaking and how pumped up as he was after that run was worth it. (The fun-run was just piling on in my opinion, but whatever.) It's people like Waight that make you better. Whether it is at Nationals or in our own region, somebody eventually will show you that there was more out there, you just didn't find it. Whether it is being beaten by John Waight or Brandon Travasos (the alien that beat me by similar margins and won CSP at both 2011 Solo2 National Tour events Darryl and I went to), it will either kill you or make you stronger. I'm not dead yet, John Waight,...but I'm sure as hell considering other classes (Lee Kingry's Ubercharged Miata sure was a blast to drive during fun-runs).

But seriously though, props to John Waight for schooling CSP this season and taking FTD at all but 2? events he attended (and I'm almost sure he was on street tires at those events).

                            Can I get an Amen?

                            Respectfully,
                            Lyle Cain

And he let me co-drive after I corded my left front tire while executing, poorly, a late braking maneuver. Thanks John. I'm still smiling.
