Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • Barber Motorsports Park Autocross NON SCCA

Okay, this is very last minute, and details will be coming out as we work them out, but we have an opportunity which I think many people have been asking for and are going to be SUPER PUMPED about......

ALSCCA will be joining PBOC at Barber Motorsports Park on November 19 - 20 to host an autocross, hpde, track day event. PBOC will be in charge of this event, and ALSCCA will be running the autocross. If you are interested in running the HPDE/track day event you will need to get in touch with PBOC. Ricky Ragan will be an instructor for this event, and I know that some of you have run events with PBOC in the past. PBOC is going to be trying out a new format, where they have added autocross to their teaching curriculum for their novices. Several of our Novice instructors will be working this event to teach car control to the PBOC Novice group before they go out on course for the first time. This will all occur on Saturday morning.

That is where our fun begins.....

We will be selling Weekend Passes, and Individual Passes for Saturday (starting around 11:00 am) and Sunday all day long. Prices are currently being worked out, but to give you an idea, the Weekend Pass will be limited in number, around $50 to $75 and will guarantee you 20 to 30 passes around the autocross course, possibly more. We will also allow people to just show up, pay $1 or $2 for one run. And you can run as much as you want.

We will run this event not as a points event, and not even as an "ALSCCA" event. You will not have to work a corner, chase cones, or anything like what we normally do. Basically you show up, do some autocross runs, and go home with less rubber, and a big smile on your face.

As I said, we will be coming up with more details very soon, and price structure is being worked out as we speak.

I will need some people to help out with this event, and we are working out a compensation package for workers. I hope all of you are as excited as Mark, Ricky, and I are about this....

I should be available to work the event if needed ... I assume we need workers. Katie has never been out to BMP.

Sounds awesome. Think PBOC would be receptive of a photographer?

you'd have to get Ricky's word on how PBOC operates, but I know we'd love to have you at the autox. And in my opinion, every person who takes their car to a car event likes to have pictures of their car at said car event.

Typically the second level of the paddock.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

Would it be possible to just come for one day?

BMW Oktoberfest had the top level set up with a course; probably the demo rides I saw in the schedule. This would probably be the best spot in the paddock while leaving room for the on-track folks to use the lower levels.

I'd take a close look at curbs, etc., before running, BTW.

you can come for 10 minutes if you want to. this is not a sign up type event. we will be out there. We are selling the weekend passes for people who really want to be guaranteed time on the course with out any interruptions or too much line waiting so they can mess with their cars.

otherwise, if you are driving by and decide to come in and run the course once, pay your money and you are in and out.
